Lingering odors in cartos/measuring supplies

I have tried the hot water/dry burn method, and still smell the last flavor in some of my items. I don't really want to buy a steamer or sonic cleaner.

I read that people use vinegar or lemon juice to neutralize odors in Tupperware and other plastic containers. Has anyone tried this? I think I will try, but just wanted to see if anyone else has yet.

I'll try the alcohol/vodka trick too. Just don't have any on hand. Oh the travesty...

i used vodka and it def. removed alot of the odor/taste but it was still there in my iclear till after a handfull of toots
