My first DIY will be a Harvey Wallbanger. Actually, my husband the non smoker/ non vaper will be in charge of mixing the potion for me since he has excellent skills when it comes to mixology.

My question is this, are there vender's that sell flavors such as Galliano or is it wiser to mix the flavor and create my own Galliano? Also, can I get a non flavored nicotine with the PG VG ratio I want? I really don't want to mess with PG and VG and nic.

Anyone else mix cocktails?

Nic: some places will sell nic in a mixture of pg/vg. I *think* you can purchase it in a 50/50 mixture.. not sure if anything else is offered. It's easy enough to add only one or the other. Or purchase some VG based and some PG based, and then just mix the 2 together.

I approach a lot of my DIY like I do my cooking. If I have a recipe I want to replicate, I search first for a few versions of the real recipe, then some versions of the NIC recipe, and try and sit down with an actual 'taste' testing session. Then I can add more of whatever I feel that is missing from the recipe. Say it's cookies.. taste it, vape it, .. then decide what 'flavor' is lacking. If it's butter.. then add a little more butter. If it's brown sugar.. then add a little more brown sugar. and so on.

For wine and alcohol.. you CAN purchase the drops.. but I've also found you can mimic some of the flavoring with other drops. You have to get a little creative (using rose drops and whatnot) but it is possible.

Adding vodka: I have made some homemade vanilla drops and use vodka in my vanilla extract. Although it is somewhat weaker than the vendor drops, it does pack quite a kick. There is definitely some TH there. However.. you need to be careful of the natural sugars that are in the lower content bottles. The sugars are not good for the attys.

HTH!

I think making our own liqueur flavor will be more creative like you said, just may be easier to find an amaretto or whatnot extract. Do you know any vendors that have the liqueur flavors? As far as the recipes go, we know what the liqueurs taste like and what to expect for the outcome but do you still recommend an actual real sample to compare it with?

I mix the flavors first without the nic pg vg, correct? Is that when I taste? How do you taste it, just a drop? Can I vape taste without the pg/vg? Also I've read that the flavor has to steep (sit) for about a week or so, is that with or without pg/vg/nic? I'm also afraid to ask about how to get the nic because i'm not sure if it's against the rules. I've read I can get pg from a pharmacy, can I get vg from a pharmacy also? Can my doctor rx nic?

You can buy nic from several of the regular vendors. There are also special vendors that only sell nic. (or as the main product) You don't make it yourself, nor would you get it from the store or a doctor. Check the vendor listings here.

Some liquids need 'steeping'. Some flavors are just better after they sit for a while, after being mixed. Others are OK to just start vaping right away.

For tasting.. I do that, because I compare the flavoring of the actual item.. I don't vape it.. I taste it (like eating a cookie) and compare the flavors to what I taste in the vapor. You may want to wait until your taste buds return a bit, before attempting this method. It's just a fun thing to do. There are many many recipes you can follow.

I suggest reading up a bit more on the forums. There is a TON of information here. Pure has a great tutorial with loads of info. I'll see if I can find you a few links.

Flavourart has gin flavoring, which I've tried, and several other alcoholic drink flavors.
Many vendors have rum flavoring.
Totally Wicked has Decadent Vapours Tequila and Malt Whisky.

Galliano might be kind of hard to duplicate, judging from this:

one last note on flavors. They all are different. My all-day vape is Blackberry Brandy. I've been trying to replicate a friend's recipe. So far I've tried 2-3 different vendors and the blackberry has been vastly different (Loranns is great, IMHO.. TPA is disgusting) and the brandy has been almost identical (again.. Loranns and TPA: The Perfumers Apprentice). I've ordered some FA (FlavourArt) to see how that brand tastes.

Haha, the recipe forgot the lavender and mint. I wouldn't follow that recipe, just going on what I taste, I really like orange juice and I want a Harvey Wallbanger vape!

Lavender is actually for sale. In fact I tried a lavender and (I think) lemon cookie juice from one of the vendors.
