Liquid Nicotine - What Is It?

Hello.
Some of you may have already seen some of my posts. I'm new here and I have lots of questions. LOL

Firstly, I admit that I did not search the board for the answers that I seek in this thread. I'd rather have a discussion about it myself than just read an old thread. Sorry.

I'm curious about how liquid nicotine is made and what kind of medical effects it has on the body when vaped.
Is it extracted from the tobacco plants or is it synthetic? Are there different kinds of liquid nic or is it all the same?
Does nicotine affect your body the same way whether it is smoked or vaped?

I'm also concerned about the PG that is used in many liquids. Does anyone know the long-term effects of vaping this?

I feel confident that vaping has GOT to be better on the body than smoking cigs, but I don't really know the science behind the vaping liquids. It also appears that there are no conclusive long-term studies on the effects of vaping to refer to for answers.
