Hi,

I was wondering if you guys could recommend some eliquid brands that would be more suited to people with allergic tendencies. I have been vaping a PG/VP blend and I am thinking PG may be the culprit. I have heard 100% VG is the way to go for this case. Thanks!

I tend to have skin sensitivity.

First off, what type of reactions are you having, and at what PG level? I'm PG sensitive, but I can handle juices as low as 70%VG. More PG then that, gives me really bad headaches. Max VG would be a better option to look into first. There are some good vendors out there, that do 100%VG, but in my experience, they are all muted. The flavor is there, it's just blah.

70 is about my limit too. I would agree that some of the 100% VG out there is muted. On the other hand I've gotten excellent flavor from The vape Kitchen and Velvet Cloud. Ahlusion also does a flavorful 100vg, there aren't very many of them on the site though, but there is plenty of 90vg.

I have tried The Vape Kitchen. Like I said, the flavors are there. I don't like much TH, but the complete and utter lack of it, makes it so bland for me.

I am getting hand allergies ie hives. This had not happened to me in the past so I am thinking the juice I bought is a lower VG ratio. I have emailed the vendor to ask the exact ratio.

It could be a PG reaction. A more possible cause, could be a flavoring issue. Are these new types of flavors that you are using?

A lot of PG on a daily basis gives me little pimple like blisters on my scalp. Some sort of psoriasis. I asked my Dr. about it as I didn't know the cause and he asked if I vaped and told me he's seen it before. I mostly vape a popular old school juice which is very high PG and I've noticed when I use 50/50 or higher VG juices it clears up.

This totally happens to me too! I keep the VG at a min of 60% and it clears up. AND the flavor makes a difference too the VG PG level doesn't matter with specific flavors I still get the rash. Avoid those flavors and keep the VG level up and no rash. The flavor that bothers me the most is the one I like the best and that's TERRIBLE but workable there are so many others to pick from.

So what is the flavor profile that causes the skin problems for you? I think I've narrowed it down to an RY4 profile but I rotate at least three flavors throughout the day so I'm not completely sure. For me the high PG one seems to be the culprit, and it just happens to be in the RY4 classification but I think it's mainly the PG.

For me it's anything with mint in the mix. It takes a while to narrow down and I had to stick with one and only that one for a while to be sure. But for me if there is not any type of mint in the mix and the VG level is at least 60% then the rash is gone!

So it def has to be the PG. The juices I ordered are 60PG/40VG

Previously I had used Virgin Vapor and Halo without any issue.

Halo has more PG than almost any other well known brand. I use it too. They won't say but I'm betting it's at least 80% PG. if Halo didn't bother you, it may be other ingredients in the juice that is making you break out.
