1. Never ever drop the battery into the tube like you would a flashlight! Over time it will cause the internals to loosen up and you'll have problems. If you have an extended cap simply sit the - end of the batt into the cap (unit upright) and screw it in. If no extender, be gentle. The battery slamming into the + contact day after day is asking for trouble. Treat it like the expensive electronic device it is.
2. Never tighten the
tank, carto, atomizer, whatever, down too hard. Just snug is enough. Too tight will wear the contact down over time as well as make it harder to hit. (less air getting through). This is not a ProVari exclusive.
3. Use the batteries ProVape recommends to use. Why buy a Mercedes Benz and try to use the cheap gas? I would imagine ProVape gets more than their share of complaints only to find out the customer was trying to use batteries they EXPLICITLY state you should not use. (The cheap gas) ProVari = $150+. AW Batteries = under $15. Having issues because you went with the $8 battery over the $12 battery is insane to me. Please feel free to comment on why you would spend the big $ on the ProVari only to get all tightwad about it's power source. The battery is arguably the most important thing. Electronics Engineers: wtf do they know about electronics anyway?
4. Clean the
tank fitting/contact fairly often with a q-tip or the like. Don't let it get all gunked up and be supprised if it has issues.
5. You may think you know the Res/ohm of your coil.... You may even be correct. But why guess? Always use the ProVari to verify the ohms on any new/unverified device before using it. I've found 1.5ohm cartos in 3.0ohm boxes before. Check it every single time you change to a new XYZ. That's why they added the feature.
Follow those, and the ProVari will be a happy camper for a long time.
