"Online Age Verification Does NOT Work!"

Vapejoose Premium E-Liquids

There is false info in the article.

"After researching many age verification options, and researching the ins-and-outs of the deeming regulations we’ve found a major flaw in the other age verification options available. The next largest age verification provider available only has a 60% match rate for age verification data and according to the PACT act (the same act that requires online retailers to use a third party age verification system) we are not allowed to manage the failed transactions. BlueCheck is the only service we’ve discovered so far that manually validates failed transactions, meaning with other popular age verification services 40% of customers would have to be turned away with no option of verifying their age."

Veratad has 2 processes, Batch is one process, which allows ALL orders to go through, and at the end of the day the vendor has to manually verify the orders that got declined through this process.

Slightly off topic since gearbest is not on the list but as an FYI/Warning:

Bold added is my emphasis.

Thank you for this info.

Since Gearbest is not a US site, I'm not sure if they should be on the list. I think they should be but I don't know if they are even using an AV service. I don't think they are required. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I've had bad experiences with them in the past and won't buy from them again.

I just got this from litecigusa when I asked them what verify company they use.

Veratad. We do not use the gimmicky blue check. We tried them originally but it was a disaster.

That wasn't me. It was @Mactavish , I was just relaying it here for reference in case anyone reading here might be ordering from them. No worries either way.

tmcase...it's your list, of course...

But you do have the (quite informative)..."Misthub - won't ship to US" listing on it...

Perhaps you could consider listing..."Gearbest--any product on the site could be "illegal" and the customer is supposed to figure it out themselves...or they will NOT get delivery or a refund."

..

I have to reread what was posted about Gearbest but you're right. We are under a tornado watch right now so I can't look at it now. BBL

Unless Gearbest puts out something in writing on their site, lets leave the witch hunt out of this please.

Just got off the phone with Verde Valley Vapes and they have a phone number you can call to place an order as opposed to going through BlueCheck on their site. The gentlemen I talked to was very nice and they seem to really be trying to help customers that do not feel comfortable with BlueCheck. They may ask for DOB and you would need to give card information over the phone when you place an order, but you avoid the whole BlueCheck mess. The number is on their website, but I'll post here in case it needs to be added to the list. 928-301-0667 EDITED to add that they manually age check on their end.

If you want more info about Idology, you can read about here Identity Verification - ID Verification - IDology

IDology refers to their online age verification service as "ExpectID Age". According to information on their website they verify age using a person's name and address much the same way EVS and Veratad does, but allows the vendor to require additional, more sensitive information such as a person's S.S.#. I couldn't locate a privacy policy on their website (a red flag in my book) so have -no idea- if they store, share or sell personal information. I have purchased supplies from RTS vapes and had no problems or issues, didn't even know there was an AVS running in the background.

If they're asking for DOB, are they manually checking on their end? Because that's no different than providing your DOB to get into the site, which does not meet the requirements set forth by the deeming regulations.

Go ALL the way to the bottom of the page. It's there.
