I see you are almost there and I'm sure these helpful people have shed the light on most of the subjects concerning you. I was at your stage not very long ago. ...... at the vendors lack of info on their products. It's a world of self advocacy, constant learning to keep up with changes and very sloppy business strategies. Bottom line in business is customer service and too many just want be the middleman. It's a new industry and a lot of desperate people trying to cash in on it. No jobs, new market blah blah. We are all victims to what you're complaining about but again you need to always continue to me your own advocate. Like you are doing now asking some really awesome question which I didn't take the time to do when I was angry.but I did start reading tons of forum info on this site and then some more. Even some technological next to incomprehensible stuff. Now true, in the back of my head I was thinking if this stays this expensive due to my mistakes and ignorance or taste buds I can always go back to Nicorette. I chewed for 10 years almost a chain chewer. middle of the night etc... Got really tired of chewing. You are going to do great with this because you demand answers and in time you'll get them and also cope with any limitations that almost everything in life gives us. I'm speaking for myself here ya know. Anyway. I thought re your not finding a flavor and kinda just tasting the base products, that you might have sinus conditions, not obvious. I know when I have a cold and use a lot antihistamines the flavors are bad. Not bad enough to quit since I know is temporary. That's it. That's my thoughts.

Thank you, I really appreciate that and I'm glad their are other who can relate. I don't want to go back to smoking, that's the last thing I want. But I can't justify the cost of this if I don't like what I'm vaping and tasting.

Ok first off quit buying up all the Blue Rasp, some of the rest of us want some too  But that's a problem at High Caliber, not the vendor.
You would not believe the amount of juice that ENS goes through in a week, and they can't order more than High Caliber makes.

Had to laugh tho, I was thinking about giving the new Boge's a try to see if they have resolved all the problems they were having this past summer. Now I'm having second thoughts. Maybe I'll just pick up a few extra dripping atties instead.

The HC flavors that I use the most are American55, Cappucino, and Apple Pie.

Wow, even with my first set of Blu s I knew I was never going back to analogs and the Blu s were junk and also could have been expensive if I bought their cartridges. I don't know how much time you've spent watching all the how to videos on YouTube, I'd highly recommend it. Learning from other's mistakes saves money. Also, there's lots of ways to reduce costs, i.e., mixing your own juice, learning to rebuild an atomizer, learning where to purchase replacement parts and batteries.

PV's do require some piddling till you find the settings and parts that meet your needs, even the expensive ones. Watch some videos, don't give up. At this point, don't think it will save you money; rather, think of it as saving and/or improving your life.

I'm not sure if this had been said already or not, I read the first few pages only.. but...

Please remember you are quitting a highly addictive substance. Some side effects are certainly to be expected, irritability is one of them. I have only been off cigarettes for a little over 2 months. I get irritated. I hate everything I have to vape with, I get annoyed that it's not easier. It's not just nicotine you are coming off of, it's a few other 1000 chemicals too. One day I'm sitting on the top of the world, thinking I'm all set, then the next I'm tearing apart wicks that are burnt and cursing them. I'm reminded of that ColdPlay song the Scientist "no-one said it would be easy, no-one said it would be so hard" .

It passes. And another goes by with out lighting up.

Be gentle with yourself, pause to notice frustration might be accentuated by withdrawal.

I have found a bunch of wonderfully helpful people here. I hope you find your way to some as well, or them to you.

Take care of yourself and I wish you better days ahead.

Haha I understand business mechanics. I don't blame (you dropped the name not me) ENS for not having Blue Rasp in stock at all. I get that they can only order what that place in vegas can make. And I know how much they go through, because I've talked to everyone there about how much they go through. It's staggering and I know it's because they are packed from dawn till dusk with a few hours in between of downtime. But that's not my problem. I'm not blaming ENS for anything, just frustrated by several different things I state above. If the part about what you'll be trying soon is a hint at what I should try then PM me or something and I'll come down there later today.

True dat. That could explain my pissy mood. Especially because I haven't been able to vape today because it tastes so bad because of all this .... i've been trying to figure out above haha.

When you are first starting out, your tastebuds are seriously wonky. For me, I couldn't taste squat until I tried some cinnamon e-liquid. I had the "eyes rolled back in my head" moment. Extra flavoring was a must for me. I think, if you can find some strong e-liquid you like, your frustration with the hardware may lessen.

I would look at a company called ECBlends. They offer a ton of flavors, very inexpensive. You can ask for double, even double extra flavor. 70/30 PG/VG is a good option as the PG gives more flavor, and the VG gives more vapor.

As for hardware, your eGo is fine...in the end they're all batteries. It's the delivery system of the e-liquid that counts. CE3's are 1.6ml bottom coil clearomizers that you fill with a syringe, upside down. They have some of the best flavor of the many I have tried.
Madvapes has double hole single coil cartomizers for your tanks. I use them daily.

Don't give up sweetie, just realize it may take a little time to find what works for you. We really are here to help ;)

First off I really want to thank all of the people that really stepped up and showed me how this culture actually is. I know I came off as a whiny person that didn't actually know much about this whole thing. And that's probably true. But I don't want any more posts on how this my mind is already made up on quitting vaping. Because that's not the case. Judging by all my friends and all the new vapers I meet and talk to this thread might be answering alot of questions people have. The trouble with other threads is that they get dominated by the jargon I was talking about earlier. I'm sick of a new comer asking "what should i get?" and within two pages there are people who are practically about to start their own mod business and electrical engineers arguing on how electricity works. I'm getting alot of information that I've been begging for since august. So seriously thank all of you.

If you see someone's post or a person you feel you can relate to, most people don't mind a PM asking a question or for a little help. That's why we're here. :) That, and to buy new stuff!

I have tried vivi nova's and do not like them. They seem to be inferior in comparison to other things. I feel as though vivi's are good for someone who is getting into it for the first time because of how easy they are and replaceable they are. I don't want easy to replace. I want quality and good vape from first to last that's not going to be my rent for that month. It exists, I know it does. But thanks for the suggestions.

I'm not sure if you realized, but you don't have to replace the whole Vivi Nova tank. You can buy little atomizer heads that screw on for around $3 each. A new head lasts me around 2 weeks, but some people get much longer out of one. I've been using the same Vivis for months and months, just replacing the cheap atomizer heads periodically. About every 2-3 tanks full, unscrew all the vivi parts and rinse them in hot water. If you can get some grain alcohol or vodka, throw the dirty atomizer head in a cup of that and soak overnight. When you start getting an off taste or less vapor production, replace the head.

I know you don't want to buy online, but in case you need it, here is a good source for vivi nova replacement heads. If you're unsure about how many volts your battery produces, just get the Standard Resistance head (2.4 ohm.)

I would also advise you to read posts like there's no tomorrow. Read read read. Even if you don't quite understand what it is about, just read the old posts on this forum. Anything that remotely asks about something you're using, read it. Read all the responses. You WILL start to pick stuff up. All the questions you have, they've been asked and answered many, many times. You just have to dig for them a little. At first, it's kind of like being thrust into a new country where you don't speak the language. But gradually it all starts to make sense, I promise!

    Good luck!

    Howdy,

Well, you started vaping a bit before me (sept 18) and have some of the same concerns, gripes, and outrage that I have had. You could go back thru some of my posts and find me asking "What am I doing wrong". It gets better. I got thru it, so can you my friend.

In all of these posts, there was only one who mentioned something that I have To mention. Your taste buds are dead my friend. Dead as a door nail. I was using a 650 twist and vivi nova minis. Couldn't for the life of me understand why everything tasted like shat. Then about 2 weeks ago, all of a sudden, I started tasting vape around the edges of my tongue and way in the back on the underside of my tongue. I looked weird with the driptip stuck all the way in my mouth to get the vape to hit those spots. It's getting better all the time. I'm tasting more vape flavors with each draw.

Like you I wanted to save some money (fat chance of that in the beginning, unless you're real lucky). I decided to DIY my own juices. I have to say, it's not expensive, and using the free calculator "Ejuice Me Up", I didn't do too badly. Like you, raspberry has the best taste, although I also like the watermelon and the Wapple (watermelon apple combo). Blueberry on the other hand tasted blahhhh. Bananna aint bad either. I was told in the DIY forum to stop trying to do multiple mixed flavors. Stick to mixing a single flavor until i get that right. I now always have 30ml or so of raspberry and watermelon in my juice box.

I tried a lot of juices. All tasted like crap. Now that my taste buds are coming back, I bought some from a few different places. Always watched for deals ( try looking at Vaper Joes or Vape Deals, google them), until you buds find what they enjoy. Where you buy from is going to be subjective, as each of us will tell you we like or dislike this or that and it will change with each person.

I'm not going to go over cartos, tanks, etc, as there is some great info in this thread and in these forums. The one thing I would press you to do, there was at least one offer from one of our users who said he would be happy to meet with you and walk you thru some stuff. Offers like that don't come up everyday. Take him up on it. Damn I wish I had had someone walk me thru some stuff.

If you're ever in my area, 14 miles east of Sacramento off the 80, give me a holler, you can show me what you know, I'll show you what I know, and there's a nice little coffe shop down the street that allows me to vape while having coffee, we'll go over there, I'll bring my flavors with me and a couple of attys, and we will vape our faces off.

Hang tough, it gets better ( wish it got better faster ).

I use a basic v2 E cig and that is fine by me. I am curious about the advanced stuff but don't really want to try it cause I won't want to go back to the e cig. Don't know what Im missing if I never try LOL. My expenses with the e juice and the blanks I buy come to about 60 a month. I am happy with my setup and Im saving a lot of money. Only thing that gets on my nerves is people at work saying Im still smoking!

I won't try to answer all of your questions, I'm to new myself.
I also would like to see a spread sheet making all the comparisons but it just isn't there.
So these are really words of encourgement.
    Keep going.
After 50 years of smoking I dropped from 1 pack a day to 3 or 4 cigs a day on the first day I tried one. It wasn't in my mind to
quite smoking it just worked that way. I found the e-cig very satisfying.
Taste, flavor, as the all say it is very subjective. So try a few samples. Places like ECBlend offer 5 ml for 2.50. So far I have tried 9 different juices. I have found 3 I really enjoy.
Cost, for me I'm still not saving. But if you look at the figurs below you will see I will be ahead soon. It will probably be at least another 90 days because I plan on getting a VV or Variable Voltage system. Just not sure of which one.
Benefits, I will be saving money soon. Not to get gross but I don't cough up the big balls of dark yuck. My car doesn't stink any more. I could go on but you get the idea.
In closing if you haven't spent some time in the beginners forum please do so. Just tons of info and lots of help.
    Good Luck

    Started Vaping 10/05/2012

    10/5 - 11/13 = 28 days

    4.00 x 28 = 112.00 not spent on cigarettes

    Cost so far
1st stick from local store 20.00
    Extreme Kit from Apollo 55.00
    PCC from Apollo 24.00
    Juice from Apollo 9.00

    Cartos from e-cigs 12.00
    Blank cartos from Apollo 10.00

I understand. And I get that people can't just tell other people what they like. But you aren't understanding my question. This is all I want: 1. more cloud 2. better taste.

    How do I get there.
That's it. Everything else is just me asking about facts and real answers on how this stuff works that doesn't turn into electricity formulas.

    1. more cloud 2. better taste. How do I get there.

    That's ALL I ever wanted and that's what I found when I switched to the system I'm going to recommend below. Now you can believe it, disbelieve it, try it or not try it... BUT! It's what worked for me and I felt exactly as you do before I found it. So, for what it's worth... here's my solid recommendation;

I'll give you the same recommendation I give everybody, because this is what worked for me...I'm a former 510 system user. (Well, I'm a former every vaping system available user.... :)

IF you're SICK of all the tasteless eGo vapors, then this system WILL please you.

    My vaping tastes have evolved radically over the past few years but I've found the "GO-GO" Starter Kit a good bet for the following reasons;

    * Cost - $59.95 for complete two eCig starter kit with (five) pre-filled Cartos or (three) pre-filled Go-Tanks: GO-GO KIT

    * Batteries last up to two days between charges (depending upon how heavily you vape)

    * Go-Carts - (Go-Carts hold 3ml of Nic Juice & Go-Tanks can hold up to 2 ml. (I vape all day on 2-3 ml) - The Carts are really no muss, no fuss but once you've acclimated to vaping you should really switch to the Go-Tanks (GO GO PREMIUM TANKS) as the vapor, flavor and throat hit are unparalleled. I really do insist that in time you do this :thumb:

Be sure to order the PRE-FILLED Go-Carts when you re-order. (Five pre-filled Cartos will come with your Kit but you'll need to specify the flavor and strength. I recommend 24 mg nic strength so you resist the urge to go back to analogs. I also recommend the flavor "EASY-BORO-USA Mix" as I personally believe this tastes most like regular Tobacco. I loved Menthol when I was smoker... hate it with vaping, so this natural Tobbacco flavor would most likely suit you. You can obtain that here: EASY LIQUID 10ML BOTTLES 24MG

Wishing you the best of Luck.... hope you find your Vaping Nirvana as I did :vapor:

I know I didn't get a knockoff because it's from the local shop nearby. And I started on vivi novas but I find they are even stupider than J-tanks. Not only does no one explain a lick on how they work, but they don't provide that beautiful plume of vapor that I'm looking for. Not only that, but I've been told they need to be replaced every other month which is so unjustifiable to me I could never bring myself to buy another.

If your ego C's are genuine Joyetech, you can take the three batteries that died on you and get replacements without paying any more money. The genuine ego C's from JOYETECH have a 6 month warranty.

Been there, done that... totally not true.

Seriously, there are TWO 'reliable' and 'consistently' dependable systems that gives me the same results as 'dripping' off a 510 atty without the hassle of having to actually 'do' that... it took me a couple years to 'find' them, but I did.

I have 510 atties that I actually 'drip' from time to time to compare to this system.... and hands down, the non-drip system produces 'better flavor' vapor and throat hit.... hands down. For real! :smokie:

Vaping has become so complicated with so many options that it can leave you feeling helpless and alone. Just be assured that there are MANY people in your shoes and that there isn't one answer to all your questions. I suggest you try the links below. They are to a network of shows and to one show in particular. It is brand new to that network and so there aren't too many back episodes to listen to. There is also a podcast that started a few years ago, and there are MANY episodes, BUT these guys started off amateurs and soon became pros.
My advice is to be patient and don't quit too quickly.

Thanks for your no bull.... answer. I seriously appreciate it. But the reason why I don't just "go with what he has" is because he has something that I don't like, which is a tiny tank. And as far as i'm concerned the people on this forum are really hard to get to in terms of help. This is the first thread that didn't turn immediately into technical jargon with papavape coming in and schooling everyone on ohms and electricity language. When that happens, I log out, there's no reason for me to keep reading chinese.

Ahhh haaa and here lies the answer to all of it " i dont want to learn nothing" i want to walk in the door of some retail shop and have them hand me vaping nirvana, why should I have to actually learn something.

stuff like ohms is so simple it hurts lower is hotter. higher is cooler.
I used an ecig batt with a small tank for like almost 3 months it worked fine people want better it doesnt mean we NEED better.
