Orygun Linda, do keep us posted on the shipment and how you like this vendor, please.

I'm also anxious to know how you like the 50 Defender.

Oh how I wish they'd made it with my beloved black waves peacock shell. Oh welp.

@Kent C, please talk me out of the Kbox mini with its cute red buttons!

Since I'm not KentC, you should get the Kbox. I think it's a cool little mod with a user replaceable 18650 for not much $$$.

After a month of no problems with the Subox kit, I began getting leaks from the Subtank mini. The Kbox mini batt is imo, as close to perfect as far as my hand-fit goes. If you like the shape/size of the Defender, you'll like the Kbox mini. You may want to wait for the spring loaded center pin (that 'v2' may be out already, I haven't checked).. but that hasn't been a problem for me at all - lemos, gs air m, and currently the aerotank mega connect for me. (only the eGo one mega didn't connect). I'm liking both the Samsung 25r and the LG HE2 with it.

If/when the Defender 50 comes in, and how it works, etc...., then I'll decide which of those I'll reorder. It could be both   I'm not looking at anything else at this point.

While these work well and have good features, I should have passed on the Joyetech VT and the Invader mini (and isticks too - although one 30 and the mini are still working - having lost 4 others before their 'time'.)

Kat...I had been considering the 40W WISMEC Presa, the Kbox Mini and the Defender 50W.

Then it hit me...it's 2015 and "they're" pushing this TC "sheet" as the "Second Coming of Vaping".

For slightly over $50 I can score a TC40W iStick plus a GS Air M plus a 5-pack of GS Air TC heads.

If TC is as wonderful as advertised...GREAT. I can then "move over" to TC as my current iSticks, kanthal coils, etc. die and need replaced.

If TC is "nothing special"...I can then just use the TC40W in Variable Wattage mode (with my kanthal heads). And I'd still end up with an inexpensive 40W little itty bitty mod.

Just sayin'...

Kent, I will keep watch for the Kbox mini V2, and if anyone else sees them, please do share. Who knows, maybe more colors will be added to their line up! If I do get one, I don't really want the Sub tank that it's boxed with now, so hopefully they'll be available separately.

Gearbest still appears to have their presale going on. Has anyone ordered? Today I'm liking the white one!

Logical thinking, gerry. I anticipate we'll see a whole lotta new TC mods over these next few months. But for that price, the 'Stick TC is certainly a viable option (to test the waters).

I'm expecting (along with DPL) a TC mod as well, altho it's in the high end category. I have no idea if or when I'll actually use the TC aspect of it, as we both got them as a superb carry in the pocket/semi hidden tank little mod, and the TC function just happens to be included. Who knows... maybe we'll get ourselves a pack o' blisters and try out the allure of temp control someday. :)

Maybe, but when I want temperature control I usually prefer to turn the setting on my air conditioner up or down.

Thanks so much for the excel spreadsheet with info - it's great!!!!!
I currently have and love my Istick 30s but am considering getting 1 or 2 that use a replaceable 18650 battery.

The Cloupor mini seemed perfect until I read about the recall and problems. From what I could find it seemed to be some bad batches back at the first of the year. I have not been able to find if the problem has been corrected. Not many US sites seem to carry it anymore. KidneyPuncher has this warning:
WARNING ! DO NOT USE THE USB PORT AS PASS-THROUGH.
Also, we do NOT recommend charging the battery internally.
In fact, just pretend the USB port does NOT exist.

Anyone know what the latest is on this?
I don't need anything over 20w based on my vaping style - rarely go over 12w.

The Kamry size is great but seems heavy and the Sigelei, although a good rep is just too big.

Any recommendations - anything new that is not on the spreadsheet?

Thanks.

Yeah a lot of us are waiting for the next mod with the specs of the Cloupor mini. I won't warn you off the CM since I have one and it's been great. Only 3 downsides are: 1. adjustable rather than floating/spring 510 pin (and it's not cross threaded) 2) its pretty heavy thought some like that and 3) some discomfort in the back of your mind that some had a meltdown. Having a Vaporshark 30 and a cloupor, I just can't go back to a mod over 80mm tall, ruling out most everything on the market right now for replaceable 18650 VW mods...

Don't know if they are on the spreadsheet but I had the same interest in the clouper mini - small, replaceable batt and passed on it for the same reason although I truly think that has been handled - although there were subsequent posts about the not so high quality 510 connection.

Anyway, I went for the Subox Kanger kBox mini (not the Kbox which is larger) and will be ordering a Defender 50W when HG gets some black ones in. I have the Defender built in 25W's and like them a lot. Like the Kbox mini a lot as well. For flavor chasing/Mouth2Lung/lower wattage vaping, rather than cloud chasing - go with the GS Air M tank or any Kanger Aerotank - I use the mega on the Kbox mini.

Hi westhc, and thanks! The infamous spreadsheet was handed over to public domain quite awhile back, and I haven't really checked in on it lately. There is great possibility that more mods are out in the wild and have not made their way to the SS.

Altho I don't (YET) have the Kbox Mini, I would agree with Kent on that recommendation for a user replaceable battery mod. I'm "iffy" on the CM, too, and for the same reasons as gmoney. It's a shame but with the variety of probs reported on the CM and also the 'Stick 50, it's enuf for me to opt out.

Kent!! I vaped on a KBox mini Wednesday nite! Oh yeah, honey, oh yeah. I liked it! It's heavier than I'd imagined, but not so much so that it was off-putting.
