both mods are on my short list, but I decided to wait for awhile. I might just bite the bullet and buy the Radius--and hope that ProVape will have enough money and muscle to stay in business...

Buying Lots of Inexpensive mods. I know each will Probably not last anywhere near as long a Provape Product. But I'm banking on Strength in Numbers.

Katya...gotta' say I lean more towards zoiD's view of VEA (Vaping Equipment Acquisition).

I know it's apples/oranges...but I can't get over the fact that for the 200 guacamoles I'd spend on the Radius...I could get a $20 Defender-50W plus a $23 KBOX Mini plus a $29 VTC Mini plus a $29 Cloupor Mini+ plus 960ml. of Derall ejoose...

Just sayin'...

Gerri, did I miss something? Where are the $29 VTC mini & $23 kbox mini pluses?

I'm in the middle-getting some inexpensive, put your own battery in mods, but I would still love a couple of well made, last a long time mods too!

As for the juice, not sure about that...

Same here. I already have about 10 regulated tubes (some nearly 3 years old and working fine), 4 boxes, all replaceable 18650 types. And a raft of spinner types. And 3 mechs, just in case! (With Kicks for all those, and if the Kick also dies, well, then it's straight mech time! )

As important is what goes on top. Pre 2007, many coils may be hard to come by. So, 11 KFs, and half a dozen other true rebuildables...

To prepare for the vapeapocolypse, I'm looking at rebuildable tanks but don't really know which are good. I want the ability to do both m-t-l & direct lung inhales, or I'll take a good one for each. I don't care about massive clouds, I prefer flavor. Any recommendations?

I'm trying to like mechanicals, but I just feel "safer" w/regulated. Sigh.

    Don't feel you are Alone.

I have a Couple of Mechs. But they have been Relegated to the "Break Glass in Case of a Complete Emergency" box.

I would Highly Recommend a Subtank Mini.

It has a Very Easy to Build on deck. There are Tons of Vids on YouTube showing how. And Flavor/Vapor-wise, it is in the Upper Ranks of my book.

MTL, the Kayfuns are great. Easy to build, very forgiving :)

And while the STM is also easy to build, it may be too much air for your tastes. (So maybe fine for D2L...) I keep mine adjusted to the lowest air setting, and they're ok for MTL. Just.

D2L, well, I don't vape that way, so can't recommend...

Well, they're not :) NO protection other than the user. But, if you take all the safety precautions to heart, ALWAYS, and don't mind the fall off as the battery voltage drops...

Yeah, mine are in a similar box

The Fall Off is Definitely an Issue. I also find myself Repeatedly Checking to make sure that I have the Fire Button Lock whenever I put a Mech Down.

I had a Little Issue one time when I put a Mech into my Pants Pocket. And I can still see the Look on this Women's Face when She Said...

    "Why is your Pocket Crackling?"

I'm also in the camp of stashing a lot of external battery mods in my vapocalypse box. For the last few months, I've been buying ones I've found at a ridiculously low price. They're generally not the latest and greatest, but they fit my vape style. So I have a bunch of Sigelei minis I got at around $20, several Kboxes that were under $20, and several SVD 2.0s that were at $18. I've also got a couple of old VAMOs that still work fine. I figure all of them together probably cost less than 1 Provari Radius. The Radius may be the best built, but what if that were the only mod I had and I lost it or it got stolen? To me, better to have a big enough stash that I can vape for as many years as I want.

This is one Very Cool thing about all the OEM's coming out with TC Mods.

It is Driving Down the price of Non TC Mods. Which is Fine with me. Because I Don't get a huge benefit from TC anyway.

Of course, that's one reason for the Kick modules.

Yes, backups are required! And not too many of us want to stress our budget to pick up three or four high end mods...

I'm using all that money I saved to build up my collection of rebuildables. I now have 20 RTAs, so I think I'm basically well stocked for any vapocalypse.

Thanks, zoiD! Finally, the real answer (for me) as to the value of TG (temperature guessing). :thumb:

    LOVE that color, Drifter!

Thanks Kat :) It's the first mod in my collection that actually has some color to it other than metal toned or black.
I think it's gonna be hard to try to find a drip tip for it that has that same blue hue, hopefully I will find something similar so my mod is matchy matchy color wise :)
