Not really, but it is plastic so it will probably break if handled roughly. I've heard that the cover on the battery holder part can break fairly easily. I usually charge mine with the built in charger.

I'm not worried about because it's really the dna 40 board that I'm paying for. I have some aluminum boxes that are made for this type of board.

Other than being able to hide the whole works in one's hand, I find just holding my vape a few seconds results in an invisible exhale anyway.... ;)
I know what you mean.
I should add that the black ones have a rubbery coating that gives a good grip surface. The other ones don't have that coating.
Good to know.

So, I'm passing these observations along with the understanding that this is not really a lil itty bitty mod, but if one considers this is a dual 18650 180 watt mod then it truly is itty bitty for what it is. The Minikin 2 is by far the most ergonomic and smallest x2 18650 I have yet to run across. It comes standard with a rubberized finish (think VaporShark) and a touch screen that is surprisingly easy to use. I'm always on the look out for a "Road Trip" setup (meaning at minimum 6-8 contiguous hours of vaping time without a battery swap). This thing, yegads, its amazing for battery life. It supposedly has some proprietary features on their chip that extend battery life and I have to say I agree with the advertisement. After a full 12 hour day chasing around knuckleheads who step in front of bullets my battery indicators did not move enough for my eyes to register it. I'm working well into day 2 without a charge and not even dropped below 95%. Now I understand that vaping at 8-10 watts does not draw alot of power; however, even on my most power-frugal mods I go through way more battery life. Did I mention the size? I have enclosed a pic below with a Radius next to the Minikin for a size comparison. Its has a shorter profile while maintaining only a modest difference in width..all the while loaded with a pair of poop-colored 3000mah batteries. Lastly, while I have always enjoyed the Boost feature on my Provari's, Asmodus took the concept to a new level. It allows one to preset 5 programmable "fields" that can be set to address vape time and wattage per inhale. So for instance, my first setting is set to 12 watts for .5 seconds. After .5 seconds it hits my second preset which is 10 watts for .2 seconds. The third is set at 8 watts for the remainder of the pull. I have found this setup ramps up the coil temperature nice and quick and then slowly ramps back down for the cooler vape I prefer (and I still have 2 unused fields). Fully loaded for bear it does weigh in at just over 300 grams with a Squape R on it, but considering a Radius with the same atty on it weighs in at 270 grams it's really not what I would call "too heavy" or cumbersome. At less that 78mm in height it is actually shorter than several of the "mini/nano" mods out there that are only a single battery frame. All in all, if yer lookin for an itty bitty dual 18650 mod with some legs and a nice gap (will accept a 25mm atty with no hang over) I'm giving this 89 dollar gem my Seal of Satisfaction™.

A small update. I so enjoyed the Digiflavor 22mm Siren I recently picked up, I ordered the 25mm version for the Minikin 2. I must have been feeling a lil feverish because I decided to order a spool of 28g 316L SS wire. I have never even looked at a TC menu before much less tried to make use of the feature! So I slapped together a 3.0mm spaced coil, put it in the 25mm Siren, and set it for 470 degrees at 15 watts. Wow. Great vape, easiest coil building I've ever seen, and a flawless vape. The TC gods just may have another supplicant on their hands. Gonna give it a few more days just to see if it was a fluke. :D

I also want to offer a heart-felt thanks to all of you Vets out there!

I need something to replace my Innokin VV3. It's been great and the charge lasts my whole workday usually. Just wondered if there's anything similar to it out there. I need it to just slip into my pants pocket so that I can carry it with me.

I love these! They are not like a vv3 because the vv3 takes a separate tank. These are all in ones, and not variable. It is an internal battery (but I hear they are coming out w/an 18650 version). The draw can go really tight like a pt2 or loose. It is definitely MTL not direct. I have 2. I use them when I leave the house. The battery lasts a day.

For my first 1-2 years of vaping...the VV V3 (with an attached Kanger T3S) was my favorite Out-and-About Mod...

Then JT came out with the eGo AIO...(the D19...the original)...

It produced a noticeably more flavorful (and more "dense") vape than I was used to...was considerably smaller...and had 1500mAh (vs. the VV3 800mAh)...

But I ended up finding it, perhaps, "too small"...it was continually getting lost in my pants pocket...

Then...JT came out with the eGo AIO D16 (thinner and taller than the original D19)...

Compared to the VV3 (with topper)...the D16 is thinner, shorter and lighter...but still has the great "hand feel" of the VV3...

Joyetech eGo AIO Kit (D16 D19 D22)

[poke is correct...there is a (slightly larger) replaceable 18650 version:]

I saw the digiflavor 22 and have been tempted to order. I have a question that Phil's video didn't address. Do you need to close off air holes when filling ? I'm guessing so to stop leaking until top is back on. Thanks
That's what Vaping with Vic did on his Y Tube review of the Digiflavor Siren 22.

I saw that video but he didn't explain why. Just asking somebody like Jim who has one if it will leak out if not closed.

Yes, you do have to close them off. But it will still leak a lil juice out of the air flow ring right after a top refill. It's annoying.

I had posted about this a few weeks ago, it has no adjustment, not sure if I'd like the " AUTO " wattage control o_O
but reviewers might prove it to be a good way to roll...
(but might be a real deal-breaker)

I'm averse to auto-watts as well. I find that even with identical coils, tanks and mods, different flavors may have their own "best" watts to bring it out... so this, with watts apparently determined by the coil value, I'd have to build different coils for different flavors....

    But yes, great price point!

I purchased this recently, it's itty bitty and well under $100. (got it for roughly $17.00)
I don't use TC so I can't comment on it, but in wattage mode it works very well and gets very good battery life.
    I would recommend it highly.
