KAT...WOW!!!

Now I no longer feel absurd looking through a "little itty bitty mods" list that has the MVP 20W on it.

THANX!!!

You're going to haz sad, gerry. Sorry. :(

The Billet Box Clone

What do you think Kat?

I think little of it, to be honest, Fergie. I have a couple of Billet Boxes and have seen (held, vaped, studied) the clone. Not fer me. It may be for some tho. I'm not going to include it on the list as I truly do not consider it an itty bitty mod. Thank you for the suggestion tho!

I love this thread since it was helping me decide on my next mod, but I was impatient and ordered an Istick 50w from a co-op for $40 shipped. Later that day, I find the Cloupor mini for $30 shipped with coupon code "clouporminipc" from gearbest.com. So a bit buyers remorse on my part since I'm not one to collect mods and $30 for a cloupor mini is a steal, but I'm still happy with the istick on the way.

Has anyone actually tried the istick 50w? Thoughts?

Here's hoping it's wonderful, Drew. :)

I don't thing anyone has the 50w yet. Its due to be released this week. 25th, I believe. If you check youtube I'm sure there are a few reviewers that got early editions to show off.

I also got a Cloupor coming from gearbest. Can't wait for it to arrive. I did the preorder for the Beyang instead of the iStick. I hope I will be happy with it too.

And I for one hope you get WARY HUGE WAPOR, emms. ;)

I have one, but IMHO not "Little itty bitty", JMHO, but a nice box mod for Kartos none the less.
I bought the Billet Bridge for mine, you can use the Aspire BVC heads with it instead of cartos, pretty nice vape really.

Agreed. I absolutely LOVE my Billet Boxes and the introduction of the BVCs with a B Bridge was completely vape changing. VERY nice, indeed!

Ha! I would totally order the clouper too and there are some other mini mods I got my eye on. But with the 50w istick already ordered, every time I'm tempted to buy an extra mod, there's a voice in my head saying, "You don't NEED another one!".

istick 50w + subtank mini will probably keep me happy for the next year, by then some nice new toys will be out. Goodbye Zmax and protank, 2014 was nice with you guys by my side, but it's time you get replaced :)

*waving back* at Kween Kat! I've been thinking about picking up something like the iStick so I'm glad you all are making my research so easy! Seriously, great job!

Easy? Good! Then you'll be able to help ME! :D

Kat have you tried BluBerryBeach or Tropikeyta? I saw your reviews of a couple of others. I really like fruit flavors especially true fresh fruit flavors. Those may not be your cup of vape but just wondered?

Yes, I have mud. I'm not normally a fruit vaper, but those are very true to their flavor profile. There's one you didn't mention, and you simply HAVE to try it (and you will <nudge nudge, wink wink> and the is StraBerry Beach. Unbelievable. Truly unbelievable.

All of you are more than welcome to stop by the NLV thread if ever you're interested. It can get a little wacky in there..... much like its OP. ;)

Fruit3 is realy nice for fresh fruit flavor. Haven't had a chance to try the Tropiketya, Apricot Brandy or STRAberry Beach. The BLUberry Beach was blueberry with spice; while good, I ended up gravitating towards the Fruit3 more since the spice aspect didn't agree with me over time.

I haven't seen the segeli mini 50 watt on the list. I'm trying to decide between it and the preorder of the is tick 50. Any ideas of which one is better?

The iStick 50W internal 4400 mAh battery will last long than an 18650 inside the Segeli 50 watt. And I like the curves more than the straight box style.

I haven't seen it on the list either. ;)

Info, please? :)

And remissable me... oh the shame, the horror. We must not forget the delicious juicyness of NLV RED APPLE, and the tantalizing applesaucy-ness of Tappulles!

Ok, back to itty bittys....itty bitties?

The Sigelei Mini 50W v2 takes a single 18650 IMR high drain battery. What's not so great about that is that a 2500mAh IMR won't last very long at higher wattage vaping before needing to be recharged. What's great about it, though, is that with the swiveling battery cover, swapping out the battery is easy and takes only a minute. By contrast, the two non-replaceable 18650 LiPo batts in the iStick 50W must be recharged via USB, which can take up to five hours at 1 amp for a full recharge from empty. Even if the iStick 50W functions as a passthrough, I'm not a fan of being tethered to a cord and prefer a quick single-battery swap. Needing to swap out the battery more often is not a problem. I already own many LG HE2s and Samsung 25Rs that will be ready and waiting, fresh off the charger.

On the other hand, the size and ergonomics of the Sigelei don't thrill me. First off, with dimensions of 90mm x 44mm x 23mm, it's bigger than an MVP. That's not what I want. Also, it's a box. Yes, the edges are beveled a little, reducing the feeling of sharpness in the hand, but I much prefer the iStick's more ergonomic, rounded shape.

In balance---for me personally---the negatives of large size and box shape outweigh the convenience of swapping batteries, so the Sigelei Mini 50W gets crossed off my list of possibilities.

My criteria are:

  • small size, comfortable shape (no sharp edges or garish designs)
  • easily- and quickly-swappable 18650 IMR (meaning no screws to remove on the battery cover)
  • 510 connector with floating pin and good threads
  • capable/accurate chip with ample protections (reverse-battery, short-circuit, over-temp, etc.)
  • decent manufacturing specs and quality control (meaning that the unit feels solid and reliable)
  • moderate price (under $70)
None of the current crop of 50W boxes meets all my needs. I doubt that I'll have to wait too long before one shows up that does, however.

YMMV, of course.

Sigelei Mini 50w
Length: 45mm
Height: 96mm
Width: 25mm
(H)96mm is the length of the standard pen. (L)45mm is half size of the pen. Is not a "mini" by all means.

Your criteria are about exactly like mine. Keep us posted if you find something that meets these.

I'd post the slow clap video again but can't go repeating the same (very funny) joke. The spreadsheet is becoming an excellent resource for folks Kat--and they said it couldn't be done(alright--no one said that)! Every time I find something itty, bitty I race back to put you to work and it's already there!

Sure ya can, shack! Rinse and repeat..... we lov 'em! (your same [very funny ha ha] jokes)

Welp, I don't know if THEY said it couldn't be done, but I sure said that! Gasp, the horrors of learning Googly Docs and Spreadsheets. Life changing.

8-o 8-o 8-o 8-o (couldn't find any "weeping profusely" smilies)

But...the (new?) smaller/RotM/larger 85mm tall column is QUITE helpful! :headbang:

Jus fer ewe.

YIPPEE!!!! I'm glad it is. I came "THIS" close to eliminating all "MINI" devices that were above 90mm in height. But then I felt sorry for the large handed peeps in here who might consider that a mini. ;)
