It takes 2 mins 10 sec to load my profile page or to check my "Like" notifications. Could this be due to the number of "Likes" or number of friends or having an album? Even when I'm already on my profile page it stills takes just as long to refresh it. Is this normal?

It's slow for me also, when clicking on the Notification tab, then Likes Received, it just sits there and grinds away.
You could be on a slow server (there are a few). Try logging off, clearing cache & cookies & logging back in to see if that improves the speed.
yes i does the trick but really Likes is very slow, (aint will be a good idea to take the Likes out ? Just kidding
I should have tried that before I posted. It is always the first thing everybody says.
I cleared everything except for cookies. I don't do that unless it is absolutely necessary. It now only takes 10 secs to check my notifications. Thanks. 
Running good here too. I always run ccleaner before shutting down the pc at nite, and this morning it's good.
