I went to my first vapor store, Liberty Vapors, today. It was kind of interesting. They have a little lounge area, WIFI where a bunch of kids were playing on the internet (probably the owners), a display case with hardware and samples set up with all their flavors (0 nic only). It was a nice setting and enjoyable to sample flavors without having to guess if you'd like them. It definitely was a different experience than internet purchases.

I spent more than I intended, but anything that helps a new business get on their feet is good. To have a place to go, even if it is a 50 mile round trip is priceless. In addition, it was a nice day for a ride. I did notice that the three other groups of customers (I being a lone wolf) were all 20/30 somethings is a good sign.

I've had the same experience going to the B&M's in South Jersey. I share the same philosophy as for supporting "local" business especially in this industry. The only problem for me...my ride is 120 miles round trip. It is an entire day out, though I like nonetheless.

I find member's stories about their local e-cigs stores
extremely interesting.

E-cig stores are playing a "major" role in our movement
and unless we are familiar with what e-cig store experiences
are all about ... we are are missing a key part of our movement.

Obviously, one common denominator, is the "flavor testing" experience
before purchasing e-liquids ... as well as vaping areas where customers
can kick-back and enjoy a vape and talk to others.

Thanks for sharing
Hopefully other members will share their e-cig store stories.
:)

It was definitely interesting and more oriented to a younger crown which is good. Phoenixville, a pretty dead town a couple decades ago has been recreated as an area oriented toward a younger, upwardly mobile crowd. Of course almost everyone's younger these days. There are a lot of dining establishments and a bar scene where smoking, in most establishments, is prohibited. Not a bad place to grow this type business and get younger demographics converted.

I forgot to ask them if they're active on ECF, but there will be another time.

Wow, a local vapor from around my area! Have you been to the store in Bridgeport yet too? I'm excited to check out these stores with my non vaping non smoker husband, hope we do ok there.

Haven't been to Bridgeport, but I made my first trip to Hatboro, Vaporphoxxe, on Friday and was back at Liberty Vapors yesterday (friends wanted to buy some supplies and take a cycle ride. I understood that Vaporphoxxe flavors were outstanding, but I wasn't impressed with the samples, until I opened one of the three bottles I like enough to buy.Once I got home, I realized how much better they tasted with nic added as opposed to the samples.

Now I'm not sure which I like better. Both do their own flavoring but I found Liberty's samples closer to what I came home with or maybe my taste buds weren't working Friday, who knows.

Where is the store in Bridgeport and do they make their own flavors? I don't know much about that town, just a pass through from Norristown to K of P in my mind.

The store in bridgeport mixes their own juice and carries dekang. it's on 4th street a few doors down from the wawa.

I'd like to point out that vaporphoxxe literally makes their own flavors. The have a large fractal distillation facility outside of the shop where they generate all their flavorings from scratch.

And if you haven't already, try liberty's cola. It's excellent.

Haven't tried the cola, but one of the gals that road with us bought some so I'll make sure I get a taste.

I"ll have to check out vaporphoxxe sometime too-add it to my list of places to check out. Def want to visit world's finest-those owners seem really nice and enthusiastic on fb at least:) Def seem to be driven by great customer service from what people have told me, and anyone who opens the store for clients at various hours...well that is above and beyond. Least we have some b&m stores in SE pa, yes a bit of a drive for some of us, but....some payoffs to visiting in person.

Where are you located BBM? None are extremely close to me. Sunday, I got a call from one of my poker buddies that wanted me to buy him a Vamo on the net, actually two asked for them. I had ordered 3 so I had a backup but the one guy backed out. This fellows wife wanted the extra so he suggested we meet up and take a bike ride. That's how we ended up in Phoenixville getting supplies and flavors. A third kit was bought for this fellows wife's mom and we were off.

I ended up traveling over 200 miles on two different bikes (had to stop to take care of the dog) between 3PM and midnight. We ended up having a drink in New Hope and riding up River Drive to hope across to Lake Nockamixon. You don't have to go far to go a long way. :)

In the past 2 weeks I've been to 2 local B&M stores. Holy Smokes in the shopping center at Welsh & Grant Ave and Artifax at Bustleton & Cottman. Neither store is local in the sense that I can't get there in a few minutes. By public transportation it took 2hrs to reach HS and 40 min to get to Artifax.

Artifax has become my new favorite place to be. They explained they're just getting into vaping so if you visit them you'll probably have more knowledge than the folks who work there.

As far as eJuice goes they carry Tsunami brand which they said have been causing people tank problems and they have samples of eVo. I'm going to suggest they set up a sample area because it's hard buying juice by guessing if you'll like it based on the name of it.

So far the only juice I've really liked and find myself vaping it before anything else is Apple Pie, but that was purchased at HS and I have no intentions of going back there. Wasn't moved by the whole customer service experience AFTER they get your money.

Rothenbj, I'm down the line(rt 63) in Harleysville-not too far-take my youngest son to the Redhill library sometimes and got birds from a cute farm in g. lane for my boss(veterinarian) and myself. That's a nice mototrcycle ride through N Hope and around Nockamixon-my dad has a mototcycle and likes to ride on a conawingo(sp?) ride with friends, but me and my husband don't b/c don't own a motorcycle-good riding weather lately in general though for you who do ride. I also saw a vapor from skippack on here at one time.

Down the line, heck, we're practically neighbors. :) I'm about three miles from the Sum. Hotel out in the woods above the Unami. Excellent riding weather although for me, riding weather is any time there's no ice or snow on the road that I can't find a bare path through.

It's great having stores opening that you can try before you buy.

Sorry for being so late on this, but just found this thread! I am just in Pottstown, so will head over to Liberty tomorrow! I am excited! Thanks for the heads up! :)

I think you'll like it. What's nice is being able to sample the flavors before you buy. I suppose you'll head there on 422. Once you get onto the main drag, it's just up and across the street from borough hall.

I'll have to check out the store in Phoenixville next time I go visit my sister. She lives there. And (shameless plug) if you ever need a good optometrist she owns a practice in Elverson: https://www.facebook.com/trinityvisioncare

As for me, I am afraid the people at Ahlusion think I am a stalker hehe. I am in there almost weekly as it is only about 4 minutes from my home.
Most of the time, the store is empty and its just me there, which can be awkward. They have a fully functional café counter but Vlad doesn't seem to have it quite up and running yet. He did mention some pretty delicious plans for it. The store does not face the street and the only advertising they do is by word of mouth. Other than the café, there are flat screen televisions, a tasting/ordering area and a lounging area.
Their samples all have varying strengths of nicotine, but nothing in 0 nicotine. I've brought friends twice and neither of them use nicotine any more so they got a bit overloaded just by sampling.
Regardless, my days of online ordering are over as I would FAR prefer to support a wonderful local business.

Linden, isn't Elverson quite a trip from Phoenixville? I should look it up on a map. My relatives lived there and it seemed to take forever to get there, but I was young then. "Are we there yet?" young.

I'll have to ask her. Her practice is fairly new and I haven't been there yet myself (I'm way up in Michigan!). I assumed it wasn't too far but maybe it is.
