rounding third and heading home...
with so many new and/or updated subohm tanks now on the market i find it interesting that a lot of these are able to use coils from another brand. i mean, how different can they really be if the coils are interchangeable. of course they may tout the "new" airflow design or some other feature but how different can they really be? anyone know of a current model or some soon to be introduced model that will actually be an improvement or contain some different technology? personally, i am hoping ceravape comes out with a subohm tank using their ceramic wicks now that sounds different than the usual cotton variety. so how about it -anybody hear or know of anything or maybe an idea you'd like to see come to fruition? i would rather hold on to my $$$$ for something unique instead of chasing the same thing over and over again with just a slightly different package. i am all ears.....

Not too sure about different, but I played with a Tobeco Super Tank today. Looks like the other tanks unfortunately. Uses Tobeco coils either .2 or .5. It is however a top fill that works great, airflow is killer and very adjustable, and flavor was awesome. . I've spotted them on line for around $24 and my B&M sells them for $29. There's really nothing too ground breaking out there. Joyetech offers coils in titanium nickel and kenthal for their ego one mega tanks. The industry seems to be concentrating on temp control mods at the moment so everyone else has followed their lead and are concentrating on temp control compatable products.

The rba deck on the zephyrus is pretty different and awesome in my opinion. Also, I am really digging the interchangeability of coils with the herakles, starre/maganus, subverter mini, atlantis, silo beast. This way there is more competition, for example I just got the starre to use with the smokme ni200 coils which are supposed to be used in the subverter mini. I hope that in the future coils are all a standard size so that tank tech and coil tech can be thought of as separate entities.

I will second the RBA section on the Zephyrus as being awesome. It's coils are not cheap, but they are nothing like any of the others listed. They are much larger in diameter, and this is how they increased the airflow so much for the RBA. This RBA actually has better airflow than the coil heads do. This would not have been possible had they standardized their coil heads to the like of the Atlantis heads everyone else is copying.

It's a little tricky to wick the RBA, but it's a no brainer once you get it right. If it doesn't wick well, use a little less cotton in the juice channels. If it floods, use a little more cotton.

UD size coils should be the new standard. Now lets get some dual vertical prebuilt ti coils UD ;).
