Ok so for a little background info, as a rule I bought my cigarettes from the same convenience store up the street from me for years. They generally had the best prices and had sort of turned in to my version of 'CHEERS' (where everyone knows your name).

Since vaping, hadn't really had reason to go inside since I pay for my gas at the pump. This morning, on the way to the gym, I stopped in for a bottle of gatorade. As soon as I pulled into a parking space that old ciggie monster reared his head. LOL! I could almost hear ir say 'About time you came to your senses.'. The closer I got to the door, the stronger the cigarette craving became.

Of course my old buds wanted to know why I hadn't been by to see them lately. I proudly explained that I had quit smoking. The whole time not being able to keep from stealing glances ate all the pretty ciggies right there behind the counter. Heck my old faves, Marlboro Menthol Smooths were on SALE!!! To top that off, Marlboro had come out with something new, in a rather elegant looking pack (if that can be said for ciggies).

I could see my bud thinking, while watching me unable to make eye contact enthralled with the ciggie display 'Quit smoking?'...Yah... Riiight!!!' LOL. I quickly excused myself as that monster in the back of my head kept saying 'You know you want one! What can ONE pack hurt?'

I quickly excused myself explaining that if I didn't I would be walking out with a pack of smokes.

One down.... How many more to go?

I have been vaping for 8 months now and I still can't resist having the odd smoke. Interestingly they did taste terrible all the time I was vaping pg but I have been vaping with vg for a few weeks now and a tobacco cig actually taste's ok now. It must be the PG that makes them taste so bad.

Lol the last time I tried and analog I literally almost tossed my cookies... Thanks for the heads up, guess I will be sticking with PG:D

I was cleaning my car out the other day because I was picking up the GF and it's too early to let her know I'm a disorganized slob. I found a full pack of my old brand unopened under the front passenger seat. I did hesitate for a short moment because my brain did the financial value thing, but I threw the whole pack out. If I had sold the pack to someone I'd have felt like a drug dealer.

I carry a few cigarettes in my purse all the time, but I had to keep throwing some away to make room in my case for the extra battery, atty, and juice! They're getting pretty dry, but I do use them for show and tell.
BUT: I have very honestly NOT had ONE temptation for a "smoke" in almost 6 months, quite the opposite. They would be disgusting to me. I think the tipping point on day one with my PV, it was the sensation of "clean" that I don't now want to pervert with a cigarette. I lit up my last cigarette the same day; it tasted worse and stunk horribly, worse than the awful juice in my NPro. And I loved my RYO/Golden Harvest Light tobacco! I still have a few pounds of that around, guess it would be time to try to sell it, along with the machine and the canister. We used to go through ten pounds of tobacco every three months, imagine that! :D

I will freely admit to having fallen off the wagon a couple of times in February, although it was a very short fall. Just got it in my head that I wanted a cigarette and lit one up. It tasted awful . . . in fact, it tasted so bad that I couldn't get halfway through it. Same story a few days later. Both times I felt positively sick to my stomach. I also had a devil of a time washing my hands and brushing my teeth to get rid of the stench.

That was six months ago.

I've found myself lately thinking about a cigarette, but I'm not terribly worried. I think if I had one, I'd probably have trouble getting through it. I try not to dwell on thoughts of cigarettes . . . just spike my cartridge with a few drops of 36 mg and vape through the craving.

For the most part, the cravings are fairly easy to ignore. Strangely enough, I have ZERO interest when I'm standing near my sister while she's having a cigarette. Just smells beyond nasty.

Kudos to you for walking into the face of the demon, staring it down, and walking away. :)

DaBrat, I think that all of us here can relate to your story. It's funny how fast our habits can change. I used to stop at Minit Stop everyday before work and get a pack of Kool Milds & a soda (For 4 years). Since I got my 510 I've only been there once and i must say i did feel the little devil pop up on my shoulder saying "you know you want a pack too..." I haven't given in yet to buying a pack and don't plan on it either. I have only had 3 analogs since i got my 510 and each time it tasted worse than before. I don't know how they ever tasted so good to me? It's been 3 weeks I've been off of analogs and now the urge to buy packs when i go to the store is pretty much non existent. Now if i could only find some more VG suppliers I'd be set, I seem to be allergic to PG.

I really don't mind:

• NOT waiting in line at the gas station to buy smokes
• NOT having that smell on my breath, my clothes, in my car
• NOT coughing up lung oysters on my way to work in the morning
• NOT getting winded climbing flights of stairs
• NOT worrying about what "tobacco user" is going to do to my insurance rates
• NOT having a chunk of my lip RIPPED OFF when I take the smoke out of my mouth when it's been in there too long...

Tomorrow will be one WHOLE MONTH off analogs. I still have 3 unopened packs left...my insurance policy in case this NRT, like all the others, didn't work.

For the first time, I can confidently say, I don't need them!! I don't want them!!

This weekend, I'm taking all 3 packs to my VFW post, and giving them to a friend there who smokes my brand. I'll also be giving her an e cig tutorial while I'm at it.

I've taken my e cig there twice now, and everybody's asking about it. Good riddance to the analogs, and more power to me! (Sorry about that.)
