I'm trying to stock up on nicotine will be putting it in the freezer. I'm curious to know if it lasts longer in PG or VG. Any help would be appreciated.
I order 100mg in PG in 1 liter size. I transfer that to amber glass bottles for the freezer. I put the first liter in 4 250 ml bottles. Additional liters are in 1 liter amber bottles. I never expect to be mixing high VG liquid so I don't see the PG as a problem.

I mostly a high VG guy, I like to mix about 70% 30% mix sometimes higher. I only use 3mg and would be getting 100mg nicotine. I think either one would work as I wouldn't need much nicotine in my mix. I just wonder what the best route would be, in storing it long term.

The points I am aware of, nobody is sure which one is more chemically stable when frozen, there may not be a difference. Some aruge that VG will get more viscous when cold so less circulation during storage so less exposure to oxygen. I draw my nic for mixing from a cold bottle. I'd rather have the less viscous material so it's easier to work with.

@Tim Jenson - I buy my 100mg Nic in VG because I always make my liquids at 40PG/60VG. As long as you aren't planning on using more than 30% flavorings in your mixes (since most flavorings are in PG & that would count for the 30% PG in your liquid ratio)...Nic in VG should work for you, too, with your approx. 30PG/70VG ratio.

I split up the amount I want to freeze long-term, into 175mL amber glass bottles (from sciplus.com at 8/$4.95 + S/H). I read somewhere here on the ECF that they should be filled up to the top, except leave about 1/4 inch at the most. On one of the websites that sells the Nic in VG and in PG though, I read there doesn't need to be any space left. Neither PG nor VG will actually freeze hard & expand, even in a home deep freezer...like ice cubes do even in a fridge freezer section. I just left a tiny space anyway though. I also keep a smaller bottle in my fridge freezer, and 1 that I use regularly...in my storage tote, with my flavorings and mixing supplies.

I've read on here that some people have had Nic in PG and Nic in VG stored in their deep freezers for 2-4+ years and haven't noticed any degradation in it when stored properly in a freezer, with very little air space in the bottle(s). So I'm counting on that, too!

I am a long term nic storage person. I use 100% PG for freezer storage. I have a bottle of 50mg 100% PG nicotine that was purchased in December 2011 that I am just about finished using and it has retained its clear color, no odor, and when using my nicotine testing kit it hasn't lost strength at all. So I can vouch for 4.5 year old nic holding up a-ok!

I use glass bottles, usually vodka bottles lol. I don't worry about amber bottles because the freezer is dark. I usually purchase 100mg nic and cut it down to 50mg/ml with PG. Put it into glass bottles and stick it in the freezer. It is a garage freezer that never gets opened unless I am pulling a nic bottle out so it remains undisturbed. I have a crazy big supply of nic.

I need to get a freezer, what would you recommend, I plan to use it only for storing nic. I just bought my first 100mg nic in PG and plan on buying more as I can afford it. As far as the freezer goes I looking for something affordable, but enough space to store several years worth of nic?

As far as the nicotine I'm getting I found this "
Nude Armor v2.0 Nicotine Base – EXTENDED SHELF LIFE
Nude Armor v2.0 Nicotine Base - EXTENDED SHELF LIFE - Nude Nicotine

Does anybody have any opinions on this brand of nicotine, is it good or bad? I liked that it was advertised as Extended Shelf life. Any advice would be much appreciated.

If you like clean, clear mostly tasteless nic, it's very good.
I have a few liters of the v1 Armor

That's the only one I'm using nowadays. It's great.

I'd be curious if on average I using about 30ml about every 3 to 4 days. How much 100mg nicotine would you estimate would last me a year? I've also seen nicotine concentration from 200mg all the way up to 1000mg which scares the hell out of me. I'd have to where gloves and a gas mask.

What I really wanting to know is how much and on average how long it would last me. Any of you guys have any ideas on it?

You'd truthfully be better off not doing this according to one of the forum's resident chemists. His explanation was that opening a cold bottle takes the chance of introducing condensation, and water is worse for the nic than oxygen. Always better to not take that chance and let the bottle return to room temperatures before opening.
