Hey all. Been lurking around for a year or so. Thought it was time to register and say hey.

I smoked for what seems like an eternity and thought that I'd never quit. I discovered vaping with an ego-c many years ago. Had a couple of relapses and was finally able to quit two years ago. I now use a Pico with the Melo 3.

I am interested in learning about building coils and am looking forward to being able to ask questions here.

Thank you for having me.

Welcome and Hello!
(Your title gave me a Don and Mike flashback, Thank you!!!)

Glad to hear you beat the stinkies.
Have you ventured into DIY liquids? DIY can save you a bundle on your vaping budget.

Coils huh? 316 SS wire seems to be the most versatile at the moment.

The rabbit hole is deep, bring an notebook, a flash light and deep deep deep pockets.

Cheers

    Welcome to the ECF Traveler1965.

Building your Own Coils (or using Pre-Coiled Coils that you Wick yourself) opens up a Whole New World of Vaping. As well as Atomizer Choices.

Also a Lot Cheaper in the Long Haul.

I have a Melo 3. I'm vaping on it right now. It's not perfect (leaky) but the coils are cheap from China. I can afford 30c a day. I also build, but mainly for RDAs. Should the regulations hit harder sometime down the line, I expect my Merlins, Kayfuns and Subtank RBAs will come out of the vape box. :)

psst... if you build already: (the cartridges you're using are virtually the same, just no dual shell)

Welcome Traveler1965. Good group of people here. (Just don't talk about cotton. Lol)

yup.. as we learned last week that unless it's hand picked after a sunny day in spring with hands cleaned with dew from the petals of daisies, then straightened and combed with a golden comb by someone's great-great-grandmother while a chorus of a hundred virgins are signing and have wild birds joining it, your cotton is crap.

Welcome and glad you joined. By using the ego, you probably have learned to vape from the bottom up, good move. Your going to be kicking yourself once you find how easy it is to make your own coil(s).

I'm sold on using Cellucotton (Rayon) as a wicking material.
re: Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit!
