I have been lurking here for a long time and actually had researched all the e cig things first back in 09. At the time I thought that it wasn't as cost effective as I was looking for then, back when cigs where actually cheaper. Since then I have cut back on my cig smoking a lot.

In the last month or so my friend I hang out with regularly has got into mech mods and he let me try his for a while and now I have ordered my setup and am fixing to start to get into diy juice. I just made my first order from wizard labs and have been reading about it alot and have ejuice Me Up and understand all the mixing. The only thing I wonder is with the flavors I ordered what I could mix to have something different than most off the shelf juices you can buy. I will be mixing 100% VG using the Essential Depot VG, using the 100mg Nic from wizard labs and more than likely will start out with around 5-10% of flavor depending on which flavor.

These are the flavors that I purchased

Hawaiian Drink (TFA)

Cheesecake Graham Crust Flavor (TFA)

Hypnotica Liqueur -HPNO Flavor (TFA)

Juicy Peach Flavor (TFA)

Koolada 10% PG Flavor (TFA)

Mary Jane Flavor (TFA)

Mild Black Flavor (TFA)

Spearmint Flavor Concentrate ( TFA)

Strawberry Ripe Flavor Concentrate (TFA)

Tutti-Frutti Flavor Concentrate (TFA)

Watermelon Flavor Concentrate (TFA)

Ripe Banana Flavor Concentrate (TFA)

Blueberry Wild TFA Flavor

Circus Cotton Candy Flavor (TFA)

Ethyl Maltol 10% PG Solution (TFA)

Lemon Lime Flavor (TFA)

Waffle Flavor Concentrate (TFA)

Root Beer Flavor Concentrate (TFA)

Vanilla Bean Ice Cream Flavor (TFA)

Maraschino Cherry PG Flavor (TFA)

Well you have some good flavors to choose from. Id say mix just the flavors like 1 -4 drop of different types that go well together like peach and mango or kiwi and strawberry. one I'm interested in is waffle flavor and maple syrup maybe add a touch of vanilla or even blueberry. Just use your head with flavors that are known to go well together, Then experiment using a few drops of the flavor taste it smell it see what's pleasing to your pallet or senses

My order came in on Saturday. I started mixing flavors yesterday after trying to mix one on Saturday with a dropper. I realized the dropper wasn't working as good as I had expected so I went to the local farm store and got 18 gauge needles and 6ml syringes. I started making flavors last night again with the new setup. Worked 1000% better.

I also ordered some other flavors before my order shipped and they are

Citrus Punch Flavor (TFA)

Grape Flavor (LA)

Honey Flavor (TFA)

Key Lime Flavor (TFA)

Menthol Liquid 10% Solution PG (WL)

Cinnamon Flavor (TFA)

Cola Flavor (TFA)

Energy Drink (TFA)

Last night I made strawberry cheesecake, keylime cheesecake, blueberry menthol black and mild, blueberry vanilla bean ice cream waffle, Hawaiian plus cherry, and blueberry cotton candy. I made them all in 10ml bottles at 6mg nicotine since I drip. I also made something with honey which was a bad idea. I also tried Mary Jane flavor which was also a bad idea (pine cone smell and taste). I put both of them in a bag for the time being with a label saying do not mix. I am hoping after those two steep they will get better although I don't have much hope.

I make 4ml test bottles and drip them I continue to tweak my recipe till it's perfect then I make a larger amount :)
small needles are a necessity for exact measuring I keep records of all my recipes it can get confusing if you don't
I use a web based calculator I find it's easer and they have a lot of user recipe there to
all so I try my juice rite after it's made and then see if it improves with time most don't
I add 5% distilled water to all my juices it thins out the VG and all so gives a denser cape :)

Yes! Now that's the way to do it. Steamer 861, you sound like a real "chef mixologist".

Start with a sample, say 5-6ml, and just test out a few flavors. You could mix Banana, Cheesecake, and some sweetener all at 4-5%. Maybe keep the sweetener at 2%. The best recipes I have made so far was by accident. Go into the DIY section and the people there are sure to help you out as they did me. I find it more rewarding to DIY, plus its cheaper. I started with a bunch of 1.50$ tester bottles till I found out what flavors I really liked. I have some awesome recipes in my arsenal already that I can always go to. I love it! Vape on brother!

Also, another thing that has helped me was getting smaller syringes for more precise measurements, and different gauge blunt needles. I asked the lady at a local pharmacy if I could get some 1ml syringes but the smallest she had was those 3ml tuberculosis syringes. They actually have some safety plastic over the actual syringe so the numbers won't come off. Pretty nice. On my other syringes I just tape over the numbers so they don't rub off. Been working great so far.
