I know I won't be able to get the same satisfaction of a real cigarette, but I'm willing to sacrifice that to a certain extent. Could you rephrase "However if you find that low voltage is good enough for you, you will be able to supplement your VV or mod with a 510 or an EGo or 808". A lot of words I did not understand. Haha

FeelMyRoth is saying you should get a VV mod (variable voltage e-cig like the lavatube). One of these alows you to change the voltage to suit your needs. When new e-cig users are more confident using their 1st e-cig, they start looking to upgrade to bigger mods which offer different things. There is definatly a learning curve though, and the eGo is a great place to start. Most new users will get the cigarette look alike first then upgrade to the eGo then upgrade to a mod.

VV is Variable voltage, meaning you can choose how harsh or light you want the vapor produced to be.

Mod is something like a box mod or such that usually has a spot for a carto or some even have a spot to place a Bottle of juice directly in the unit and usually use disposable batteries, the rap they get is they aren't as sexxy however they come from private vendors who are usually good people and people who have made the switch themselves.

A 510 and 808 looks alot like a cigarette just a bit longer, think 100s or Black and Milds

An Ego to me is more of a metalic cigar design however you do not have a charging case that you can get with 808's and 510's and IMO is not better at producing Vapor than an 808.

Bloogplanet.com has IMO the best 808 design and vapor production, smokessimage.com has the same design and cartomizers for cheaper, also a kit will come with IMO the most reliable charging case available.

I still suggest trying to find a variable voltage to figure out your sweetspot and using it for your home vape, and getting something like a Bloog or Volt from Smokelessimage.com for your on the go.

At least with a Bloog you can get 36mg nicotine for your carts, however the flavor selection is slim, But they have one of the better Menthols IMO.

Choice is yours, just shuffle through and make sure you get the right unit the first time.

I advise with heavier smokers such as Elementz they should start high and work their way down with both nic and voltage, and with VV its way cheaper to do so. With Ego I still think someone who has smoked regular menthols is going to want to move up from Egos within a month, so I suggest skipping that step. Way easier to walk down the steps then to walk up them.

Aw man, two people with two opinions. This'll be a hard decision. Both seem like great choices to me. I honestly don't really care how the e-cig looks. As a matter of fact, I think it's weird that they try to copy the look of a real cigarette. I don't think I'll be upgrading to a mod anytime soon. I'm watching a comparison video right now on youtube, so I'll get back to you guys after this :)

Hoping not to confuse you more, but "510" and "KR808" generally just refers to the threading between the battery & atty or cartomizer. The cigarette-sized ones won't hold a charge very long and shouldn't be used for low resistance cartos. For lower resistance (say, 1.5 - 2.0 ohm) cartos or attys you need larger batteries. Lots of people use & recommend the Joye eGo, and I expect they are quality products, but I dislike that their battery/switch/housing is a one-piece deal. That is, if the battery dies, or the switch dies, you have to replace the whole unit. For that reason I chose to buy the E-Power 14650, which is somewhat similar but those parts are separate, so it's a lot cheaper to maintain. So far I've been very happy with it, mostly using low resistance cartos and dripping attys. BTW bought it from Sweet-Vapes who also has some nice juices, especially their chocolate fudge brownie if you're into chocolate. Happy Vaping, and welcome to ECF!

Hmmmm I like chocolate too, wondering if this would satisfy my taste buds. Got me thinking of buying another bottle of juice damn you, I don't always fill my own cartos, but when I do I fill with choclate, lol.

You could almost compare it to buying your first car. I am telling you to skip the little cheap bomb (cigarette look alike) and get something that is reliable and will get you familiar with driving safely (the eGo). Others will tell you to go straight for the Porsche, don't worry that you have only just got your licence, you can downgrade if it goes to fast for you.

Haha I like that analogy. I did watch an eGo review on youtube, so I checked their official website janty. There seems to be a lot of different versions of the eGo. I can't seem to tell the differences. Also, there is a regular eGo and an eGo Jet?

PigCig is an 808, so anything with an 808 thread should fit onto it.

T-Rex is a 510, so anything with a 510 thread should fit.

Out of the 2 i'd go T-rex.

And between the eGo and the T-rex, you'd get the eGo? :p I checked the website for eGo and there seems to be a few versions. Which one would you recommend?

Joye tech is actually the original eGo manufacturer, Janty is a sister company that sells genuine Joye products, there are many other companies re branding eGos, then there are the copies, sometimes it is hard to tell them apart but the genuine ones have silver connections and fakes are usually gold.

The eGo jet uses a tank system rather than a cartomizer system. There is the eGo-T and eGo-C which use the tank system. I would not recommend these systems for beginners as they sometimes have leaking issues. Cartomizers are just way easier to start with.

Hello and welcome to ECF Elementz!

Throat hit is heat and nicotine. The more you have of both, the more you will feel it when you take a drag. Buy a 3.7v device: Riva, E-power (almost anything except an eGo) and some 24mg liquid.

If you really want to go wild, buy any device capable of 5v, stick a dual coil carto on it and load it up with 24mg liquid. This combination will hit like a truck.

Personally, I bought the dual coil cartos from madvapes. Even at 3.7v, the 2Ω cartos perform very well.

All the best!

Haha I have over 20 browsers open. This is getting more and more confusing/frustrating. Maybe I should sleep on it tonight as it's almost 6am here and make my decision tomorrow. Going to finish watching some of these videos and then heading to bed. I'll be back tomorrow to bother everyone again :p. Thanks again everyone for their input and intense amounts of knowledge.

I am personally an 808 guy, but if you go for a model like that and see cart on the other model you can get a 510-808 adapter and vice versa, can't really go wrong with that, I think if you are just looking for something to get you started either or will be a good choice, however I advise 808 over 510, there are alot of charging case options(4 that I have found) for the 808/Pigcig and 510 really so far as I have seen only has 1 case option. The choice is yours in the end.
