What is the difference between the 510 and the 808? I just saw a review of the Lava Tube and it seems pretty interesting that you can up the voltage and get more out of it haha. Is the Lava Tube used with a cartomizer as well?

I haven't used the lava tube but I think for availabilities sake its a good buy, which is kind of what I was hinting at you getting to start out with as well. I think you would benefit from talking to some people who use the model.

808 is a male threading and 510 is a female threading on the lithium battery, the long shaft that connects to the nicotine liquid containing cartomizer. I choose 808's because they IMO have better cartomizers, at least the ones from Bloog and Smokelessimage.com are fairly powerful. After you get your model the next step will be finding your flavor, kind of like choosing your brand of cigarettes, except with a million more choices lol.

Also please post up a thread reguarding the Lavatube so that you can get some input on how to use it/fill it and some info about its durability. These are things I cannot attest to so be sure its the product you want prior to buying it. Also something like that should be more of a home vape or at work vape where you will be able to have the stuff you need right at hand. As for going out you should get a 510 or 808 model that comes with a charging case so you always have a spare battery charging when one runs out.

Yeah I'm actually looking at the 510 and the 808 with the rechargeable, or at least the ones I can charge with a USB in my car. Kind of leaning towards one of those as the VV seems way too huge to carry around. Didn't realize how big it was.

Yeah its definitely bigger than what you are used to, I think there are smaller VV's available, but like I said I'm an 808 guy and haven't tried a VV yet, the 808's work well for me and my vaping is much stronger than what my smoking was. I suggest getting with some VV people and finding out from them what might be the best model for you if this is a bit too large, but definitely with the style of cigs you used to smoke you will want something with some kick at least when you are at home. I recommend Bloog myself for 808's as they have the 36mg prefilleds for you start with. The only problem I have with bloog is the fact that the batts do not work well with other 808 carts, while their carts work well with other 808 Batts. I'll give you the rundown of the config that I currently use for my 808:

Batteries - Vapor4Life E-Cig batteries - the best e-cig battery
Cartomizer - Electronic Cigarette Cartomizers | E-cigarette cartomizers | Smoking Alternative
Charging Case - KR808D1 XL PCC Portable Charger Case

That does sound like a good place to go. Thanks for that link! Though I can't wait until February to purchase my first e-cig as I promised this week will be my last week of smoking.

I realize you don't want to wait that long but trust me some issues most likely will come up with your frist set up and the meet would be a good place to learn first hand, and see what the pros do.

Well all that would get here in 3 days shipping, and hell sometimes only 2. Wouldn't be a bad start if you want something quick and that doesn't have a bad draw. This setup isn't something you would get frustrated with learning as its quite easy, order some prefilleds and some empties, the prefilleds will get you started and you can get yourself some 36mg liquid from V4L as well with pretty good flavors to choose from.

Hmm so you think getting all of the parts separately would be better than just getting the starter kit offered by bloog?

I got bloogs stuff by piecing together and it added up to less than the total cost and also used a promo code, Beware though Bloog PCC will not charge the V4L Batts in case you were thinking of snagging that, but I had straight bloog accessories then moved to V4L for the ability to mix and match carts, also I moved to this PCC rather than V4Ls due to it having a spot to keep carts and it charges 2 batteries at once or you can put a Battery and Cart(filter) fully assembled on one side as well. Works like a charm for me. I leave with charging case 6 carts and 2 batts all in my pocket taking up no more room then say a thick Iphone.

Oh yeah, do you prefer automatic or manual? Is there a difference between the two or is it just personal preference?

I'm a lazy Auto guy, Manuals will hold charge better from what I hear, but you need to press a button to vape from it, not a bad option I'm just lazy lol. Some people swear by manual's.
