Long time vapor new to forum

Hi guys! I've been vaping for a long time. Used different batteries and mods but have run into a problem with my sigelei Zmax V5. I've used a PT3 and now an iclear 30s both are dual coil. When I input my desired voltage or wattage (it takes about 5.2V to really get a good hit) it defaults down to 4.7. The longer I vape, the lower the V goes! Any help, explanations or suggestions would be awesome!!

I think you might be reading the battery voltage, as opposed to the output. I'm not sure about the menu on that unit, but the descending voltage I think is the clue.

It might be that the coils are lower resistance than marked. It happens. If that's the case, then the regulation in the mod will kick in to keep it within the operating specs. IIRC, the Zmax 5 is a maximum of 5 amps. So trying a different coil, with a different value, may help.

Or it could simply be that the battery isn't fully charged, or may be old and past it's prime. What brand, model and type is it? They all have a C rating that indicates how high a current drain they are made for. Not all are suitable for use in mods, as they can't handle the high drain needed.
