Look, I really don't know how to ask this question.

First, minds out of the gutter people.

OK.

The reason I don't know how to ask my question, is I don't know what I'm looking for is called, so I'll just try to describe it, and maybe someone knows what they are called, anything about them, or where to find them. ( I had this issue looking on google, tough to look up something you don't know the name of.)

OK, I was in a relatively nearby vape shop, and didn't think to ask them while I was there, but they had what looked like a 3 inch doohickey that you screwed on a cheap tank, to test that flavor. It wasn't a battery 'cause it had a wire leading to it, which I'm assuming was plugged into the wall.

so what do you call the wall plug in thing that acts as a battery for a tank atomizer?

Thanks in advance.

Keep in mind the basic pass through is usually 5 volts. They don't have a regulator so the voltage comes directly from the 5 volt USB port an a wall plug or computer. I don't recommend using them on your computer though, an atty short could fry your USB.

So, it would be better if you had a direct wall one that didn't have the usb limitations.

it's the attached head that's the issue, most usb ports on a PC have overcurrent protection and will cut out if you try to draw too much current. The usb mains plugs are can be rated for much higher current draw.
