But your disappointment in the Blu led to you trying other stuff until you found something you liked. So the Blu wasn't all bad.

Bingo!

If all there was were "Pen" mods, I don't think the Switch Rate would be very high. But for Many, these "Pens" let people know that e-Cigarettes just might Finally be what can work in Quitting Cigarettes. They just needed a "Better" e-Cigarette.

Size was also Very Important.

When I 1st started out, someone could have told me that this "device" was Infinitely Better than that Sexy Blu kit...

... but there was No Way in Hell I was going to buy something that Looked like a Glorified Sex Toy and then carry it around.

I needed to Start with something like an RN4081 to See if it worked. And when I saw it had Potential, I move up to Better things.

I started with Mistic e-cigs that I got from Walmart. They were kind of pitiful, but I was able to quit smoking with them. I bought a whole bunch of them from Sam's Club. After a couple of months, I switched to Smokeless Image cigalikes. I ended up throwing away a lot of the Mistics.

I agree as the Halo G6's is what got me to start trying other gear and trying to find something that did work for me. The 18XXX mech tube mods had the potential I was looking for, but the early atty's used on them was a failure.

First up was some Segelei mech tube mods (#20 Roller, 19E and 8W with both tubes) and their first pre order for a brand new at the time ZMax V5 VV/VW. But the EVOD's. T3's and Pro Tanks used on them with there high ohm coils were a fail for me EVEN when I started messing around with rebuilding coil heads with much lower ohm coils for some of them.

At the same time The Don (Megalodon from the UK with all of its tubes so the ability to run it with 4-5 different battery options for different higher voltages) held some interest with a Pro Tank on it.

The biggest failure next to date was just around the corner though, a failure made when I first dived into the 'big league gear' that cost me thousands of dollars and included some prototypes of it and a lot of high end Euro toppers for them.

Nah unfortunately it didn't work for me this way, I went back to smoking man and it took a year before I even considered trying another vape... I bought the blue because I got interested in the concept of vaping (not because I saw blu) and blu happened to be the device I first came across in my local newsagents (there weren't many vape shops down here in Edinburgh at the time)- big disappointment right away: bad harsh juices, weak vapor, weak battery, coils that would flood or die fast.
A year later (2016) I decided to give vaping another shot and bought innokin endura t22e- that was the vape that made a difference. Not enough to get me off the cigarettes completely but finally something that performed pretty well and was user friendly, and luckily I learned a bit more about juices/shortfills so I realised that the juices blu had to offer a year earlier (100%PG harsh tobacco flavored juices that tasted like... hard to describe, cheap pipe tobacco left to dry out for too long with a hint of salt/baking powder? aftertaste) were simply crap, that's why I didn't like them.

An old eGo type battery (1100 mah, VV (3.3 - 4.8)) that I haven't used in about 5 years. If I can find one of my old chargers for it, and they both still work, I just might use it again..

Another oldie I got from the first run on them in very early 2014 (IIRC March)... The Donkey aka a MiniEcig Micro Stick from Israel that would fit in the coin pocket of Levis 501's (that allowed them to be a 'stealth mod' for some folks). Mine was something over $200 then with the extension (for both 18350 and 18490 batteries), but I think they came way down in price later. My favorite atty's for it was the VapourArt Spheroids and By Leo Slim Tanks driving their rebuildable/flow control Sophia's (all from Greece). but some other cheaper atty's could also be ran in them (like Aspire, etc). I also could run both the Spheroids and Slim Tank's/Sophia's on my VapouArt V3 Piccolo.

In this picture I had a By Leo Slim Tank/Sophia in The Donkey.

At least one, maybe two - I still have Protanks, brand new in the box!!

I've also got quite a few - ProTank II and III and the Minis of both, as well as various sizes of the AeroTanks...all still new in the boxes. There are still people who prefer to use some of the older tanks. I've talked to a friend recently who found one of her old ProTanks and tried it. She remarked how much she likes it, even now.

I retired my Pro and AeroTanks after I got my first Subtank Mini--so much better! I still have one and use it on occasion.

Me too ... and I still use them daily.
I just put a "Wanted" post in the classified looking for an "reducer" adapter.
I only have one, and can't find another anywhere.
I like to "cheat", and use it on my Reo's ... it helps to reduce the profile

What's a reducer adapter? Did it come with a tank?

Never mind, let me look in the classies.

No, bought it on the side. The only thing it reduces is the length of the tank
It's the exact same piece as the one that comes on the bottom of the Protank, just a shorter version, reducing the overall length of the Protank.

Don't remember them at all from your description. So something that I didn't buy when I first started when I was buying and trying just about anything in trying to find something that worked for me. It was doomed to fail... mostly MTL gear that didn't work for my DL style.

I have a couple of ProTanks and Aerotanks. :D

I got talked into buying some ProTanks and ProTanks II's back in 2013, still have them and boxes of coil heads for them someplace in storage. I was even rebuilding coil heads to get them to lower ohms (it marginally worked but was a RPIA to do)... soon after I retired them all. Had about the same luck with the T3's, EVOD's, RSST's, etc.
