Never disregard those weather alerts because storms can change course like the one that hit us over the weekend. I had planned on installing the plow mount on the truck today but was forced to do it on Saturday in constant snow and 20°F weather so I could plow when the storm ended. Moral of the story I was prepared when the snow started but was by the time it stopped.

We got 8" on my part of Long Island but more East got even more. What messed me up was the original forecast of maybe an inch changing to snow showers. Got up Saturday morning and was having coffee when my GF called said it was snowing and the forecast called for 3 to 5 inches which changed to 4 to 8 inches when I turned on the Weather Channel. Immediately dressed in layers and went out to start the installation. Wound up with a temporary control switch install and no plow lights wired up but since I was starting at sunrise did not need the plow lights.
