@bombastinator - Bulk Apothecary is where quite a few other people and I always get our VG and PG that's very good quality and at fair prices. But they've got a 2-3 week backlog for orders of it. Some people are buying it from Heartland Vapes now instead.

Doood we created threads in your honor. I am glad you are still around. Someone said you were on some documentary about tigers and was in lockup. I didn't buy into any of it though because I investigated your disappearance and it was obvious you were selected for the upcoming season of 60 Days In.

    Shanks for posting!

Remember that un-refridgerated VG and PG has a limited shelf life.
Please elaborate. Been leaving my gallons in room temperature for almost a decade.

I've had good results buying VG on Amazon from Essential Depot. Essential Depot has been a go to for me for years.

Well I bought 2.5 gallons from Nic River (It came in ONE jug) had I known that.... But it's been good still I think. It's unrefrigerated. I have considered some more PEG400 because it can be hard and expensive to get but I still have a gallon and a half. I do NOT have enough freezer space or fridge space for it so I'm kind of interested in shelf life too I guess. So far looks fine, tastes fine (i.e. pretty tasteless) and vapes fine so I haven't been worried.

If something has a use by date on it to me that implies that it degrades over time.
What I said is based on this rather than any testing I've done.

None of my PG or VG has expiration dates on it and neither do the little bottles of VG they sell in drug stores, IIRC.

However, although I haven't done it yet, I plan on putting my PG and VG into glass containers. I don't believe any plastic, even if it's supposedly food-grade plastic, is good for long-term storage of anything. That's just my belief, not scientific.

You're probably absolutely right about that. But then there's that other aspect - the legal aspect. Use by or best by dates are usually much shorter than they realistically should be for legal reasons.

I have been eating 5 year old canned soup which looks and tastes just as it should.

Lawyers cause consumers a lot of grief which causes a lot of needless waste. I take use by and best by dates with a grain of salt.

I have no idea whether anyone has done any testing on this. I read once that a lot of warnings like this were written by lawyers rather than chemists. Protecting the company against someone wanting to return a 5 year old bottle that they kept on a sunny windowsill with the top off. I've had it sitting under a table in my office for 2 or 3 years and it was fine.
