It looks like it's been a year since this question was last asked here, and I've gotten back into vaping after several years of not seeing the new tech. I used to have throat issues, and in testing with a dripper realized that it would seem that I developed a bit of a reaction to PG. I have a TFV8, and it's finnacky with 100% VG, sometimes I can wick it just right, other times it's dry hits unless I drip or let it sit for up to a minute between vapes.

I'm looking for a RTA that handles 100% VG well. Dripping in the car is not going to happen, so I need a tank. Any recommendations?

I tend to like hotter and smoother vapes with low throat hit if possible, a lot of airflow is also a plus. Right now I've been vaping between 80-100 watts.

Thanks in advance!

If you chain vape, it's going to be hard to find anything that will keep up with 100% VG (BTW, is the juice premade or DIY? I ask only because flavors typically come in PG). You can try to thin it a bit with 5-10% distilled water. If you're OK with that, any number of DL RTAs will work fine for you (mtl less so, but you're obviously not doing mtl with lots of airflow and 80W).

I only vape High or MAX VG e-Liquids and I don't have issues with the liquids but certain tanks do tend to vapor lock and require loosening the top for a second to allow the liquid to saturate the coil. You will see bubbles rise out of the coils cotton as the e-Liquid saturates it to know if this is the case. Another possible solution is to poke some holes in the cotton with a pin to loosen tightly packed cotton. Hope it helps as it works for me.

For the last 2 years or so, I've vaped nothing but 100VG. To be honest, it'll really depend on which tanks you're looking at specifically, but I haven't encountered an RTA that cannot handle 100VG in a long time. Any time I've had a problem, it's been due to my wicking technique, not the RTA's capabilities.

I'm not sure how you like to vape, but if you want to play it safe, every RDTA I've used has had zero issues wicking 100VG.

I have had no issues with the TFV8 RBA with max VG I have no 100% VG to try it out but mine is 95%

What wicking material are you using? The first time I wicked my TFV8 RBA I must have had beginnners luck, it worked like a dream even with the 100% VG, but since I havent been able to get it to work anywhere near as well. I'm using Cotton Bacon 2.0. The well area is pretty small, as are the slots to the liquid. Since the first one I have to keep tilting it to get air bubbles to come out so it will wick, which can take a while. I have tried putting the cotton in the well in several different ways, from barely any there to lots in the bottom (and everything I can think of in between).

What's your trick?

DIY Juice, all stuff from Nude Nicotine's 100% VG line. Also, isn't putting water in there going to increase the throat hit a lot?
