Hey everyone,

I have a small issue with my current setup. Im a heavy vaper/smoker and go through a good amount of liquid a day. Im currently smoking a provari with a vivi nova, just got the setup a month and a half ago. The vivi was something temporary until I could find something better that didn't cost 200$. The vivi is great, I get a few bad atomizers, some that leak but all in all its way better than the issues I had with the dual coils. The problem that does bug me with the vivi is that its only 3ml and out of that 3ml I can only vape half before it starts to get dry on me and im doing gymnastics with the PV to get a decent hit. So, after 2-3 vape sessions im stuck refilling it and its starting to get annoying. My dual coils I used to have a 6ml tank and it would last me all night, even the 3ml tank for the DC I used to vape way more before refilling. I would go back to the DC tanks but refilling is an issue in work, and changing an atomizer takes me a good 10 mins to get it filled, primed and vaping, and another 10 if that atomizer is shot straight from the package and I need to do it all over again.

So, Im looking for an upgrade to my Vivi Nova. Preferably something with a larger tank or a system that would allow me to actually smoke the majority of the liquid. I can't seem to find anything bigger than 3ml. Price isn't really an issue but I would like to avoid spending more than 150$ unless I really have to.

ok so I was having the same issue with tanks when I first started. Now I am back to them and have no problems at all. Let me tell you my method.

First I got rid of the dual coil carto's. I went to single coil and I use em at 3ohm. I set my PV to about 4.8-5.0 and BAM vape goodness. Now my trick for filling so I don't have to fill a whole tank and waste the process to a bad carto is. I fill the carto with juice as you would with a normal one and shake the juice down in the thermometer method. I do that until I get good flavor and vape insuring that my carto is good as well. THEN i insert it into the tank and fill. Now I don't know what your juice taste's are thickness wise but I have found that a 50/50 and now a 30/70 PG/VG mix is perfect for the flanged carto's. I also have a few tanks from Valley Vapes that use boge cartos and I do the same thing with those. perfect everytime. If you have any other questions lemme know. I don't chain vape per say but I have to have to constantly fill things so I have 4 6ml tanks DCT style and 2 with fill holes so I don't even have to bother with the carto to fill. Good luck and I hope it works out for you.

I am going to agree with the above posters. Having multiple smaller tanks you can just screw on and vape is a better idea. I fill mine once a day and rotate them as needed. I don't worry about that last bit of nasty juice because I can just put a new one on and have a nice vape again. It also seems like my cartos last longer since I am rotating them throughout the day. I don't know if it is true, but I somehow think that giving them a rest helps them stay wet. I will change mine out frequently and not necessarily when they are getting low. As you can see from my signature, I use everything except the crappy vivi novas.

ETA: I vape on average 5 - 10 ml per day. The average would be about 3 to 4, so if you are only using an average amount 2 tanks would probably be fine. I need a few more

I like the "Tube Tank" from Volcano e-cigs. It's a 7 ml tank, i run it with a 3 ohm single coil at 4.8. Awesome vaping on both my Lava Tube and my Provari. It's 20 dollars and for the price works like a charm. If you prefer Pyrex glass there is Phiniac and companies like them but the tanks are around 50 dollars after tax and use the same cartos as the tube tank.
BTW. i've never had problems with condensation and or oxidation with my setup. I use 3 to 4 ml a day.... yes i'm a heavy vap user :)... beats the 2 packs a day analogs i used to smoke. Also if you're really paranoid about oxidation, unscrew the tube tank and put it in the refrigerator overnight...

As a question to your reply-how long does it take for the juice to oxidize, and the condensation to take effect? (I also want to follow this thread, as I think some of the tank systems out there are gorgeous and want to learn more about them)

Heat from the carto, not time, causes the problem. That plus partially burned juice leaching out of the carto back into the tank. The larger the tank, the more it becomes a problem. 3ml tanks, not much of a problem, 6ml tanks, you will really notice it.

Many vendors do NOT recommend refrigeration. Oxidation occurs from partially burnt juice as the above poster stated, and putting them in the fridge is not going to help with that. You won't notice this in a smaller tank as much as a larger one. Phiniacs are beautiful tanks and you get what you pay for, but if you are looking for a borosilicate glass (brand name Pyrex) alternative, just a basic one, IBTanked has very reasonable prices. Both companies have excellent customer service.

If you are only using 3 to 4 ml a day, 2 regular tanks in rotation would work. If you are a chain vaper like I am, more like 4 or 5 is good. I have 8 in rotation, some with different flavors.

This is great feedback. Yes I do get some Oxidation in my tanks, even the 3ml. When I notice it I just finish the juice as much as I can, dump and change the carto/atomizer. I go through about 5-10ML a day and place some large orders on Eliquid for the month. I pretty much only vape Halo Eliquid in the menthols. Can't find anything as good and as easy to get to me, I usually get it next day too because they are a state over. I want vaping to be as small a hassle as reg analog smoking is, mixing my own liquid, building my own atomizers, and punching carto's really doesn't appeal to me.

I'm going to hunt for the better of carto's then pick up a few tanks and rotate. Aside from pocket space for the extra tanks I think it would be better for me to just have a few and a battery or two in my pocket. Thanks for the tips, completely didn't think about doing this. Hopefully this would help me kick the analogs.

Anyone have any brands/companies they enjoy dealing with?

My buddy just got done with a T3 coop and he said he is gonna send me 1 or 2. I am looking forward to trying them out. The T2's were nice but not built very well. Seems like these may be a little better build quality. Both mouthpieces on T2's came unglued from threaded ring. The T3's look promising. The vape on T2's were amazing to me.

Any chance you can post a pic of that 7ml sidewinder?

    As you wish!

Any tips or tricks for a smoke nova tank modded with a sealed hole on bottom and a single steel wick at 1.2ohms. Guy i worked with gave it to me today so far only dripped waiting on my boba's coming tomorow to fill the tank. I ask because on my stardust the boba's got dark it still tasted good but not as good on the first fill.
