Yeah I understand the wicking issue. I appreciate the help. Just not worth my time with other devices performing exceptionally

I don't own the Griffin or any sub ohm tanks. I use RDAs as I mostly drip (as I'm doing now), unless I'm at work. Different strokes for different folks. I'm sure you'll find another RTA. Many of them are cheap AF now and many to choose from. I'm jealous you get to return your vaping products. I know here in Austin, once you buy and you can't return; mouth pieces in other people's mouths, sanitary issues, returning a "tobacco product" (BS), etc. isn't allowed. I tried returning a pack of cigarettes at a commercialized name brand gas station once because they weren't menthol, they said they can't it's against the law and they could be fined if they did.

I understand op, I don't have issues with leaking on any of my current tanks. I have in the past. Now I will rigorously test for leaks on every tank . One dribble and it's game over. Leaking tanks suck!!! I use my squape rs and my 2 origins most of the time. My squape has 0 leaks on its side upside down, any which way. I have a great mesh build in and am terrified to take it out lol

Your right..... I've been thinking about this comment all day..... Probably because of the reference.

I'm keeping this and will take it as a challenge to wick it.

@Zeusvapes I found the main thread discussing the Griffin for you. Have a good read, and if you don't find anything useful post in there for some assistance from the other Griffin owners.
Looking at those pictures my gut tells me your coil ID is too large, and the tails need to go deeper.

@Zeusvapes I completely understand your frustration. I own both Griffins, I wick the Griffin 25 for my brother in law and 2 mates. I use the exactly same wicking methods, same cotton. My griffin 25 will start to leak randomly after 2 hours (3h, etc). My brother in law and 1 mate has no problem. The other mate has the same issue. I'll occasionally rewick griffins (and other devices) in my local shop (basically a pub who also now has a vaping dep.). It seems a 50/50 split to me. I'm starting to think it has to do with how you vape (the amount of rips you pull, the sequence, ...) cause it doesn't make sense whatsoever.

I switched to an aromamizer supreme (7ml) and put my griffins on the shelf. It never leaks (it's actually as good as leakproof can be) and it wicks like an rda. And the building quality is rock solid. The best analogy I've heard is like the griffin is the top model of a budget car brand whereas the supreme is a BMW/Mercedes/Audi. They are both in the same segment, but the latter has the innate quality of a top brand.

In combination with my limitless rdta's (plus and normal one) I have zero need/desire to go through the trouble of dealing with the griffin.

That deck looks almost just like the Cthulhu I just got.. In your second picture above, part of the wick looks like its sitting on the air hole. Thats guaranteed leakage. My Magma RDA used to do that all the time because of how the coil/wick sits right above the air holes. Straighten out the coils and make sure the wick is away from the air hole. Looks like you've got enough wick in there to keep the chamber from flooding, but when the wick gets saturated its going to drip in that hole and come out the bottom.

Supreme rdta by steamcrave, once i got this tank, no other one came close in performancr
They are good tanks but the deck is tiny for it's size. Barely bigger than the OG.
I loved my Aromamizer 1 and 2.
If you only care about flavor and ease if use, they are one of the better ones to get.

I put quads in mine but it tightened up the draw making it unusable.

Im cloud chasing with duals or singles... It is more than sufficient, quads are overkill

Every RTA has its own personality. Finding the secrets to a leak free vape is key to atomizer satisfaction. ECF has plenty of fans of all tanks. If you keep searching you will find the answer. IF leaks are not o-rings related, then they are probably going to be related to wicking technique.

Here's a list of threads related to Griffins leaking.

I'm returning a griffin clone I picked up after reading tons of complaints about leaking griffins I'm shooting to just ditch the griffin and pick up a no leak rta.

So what's the best noleak rta right now?
I've only had good results with one RTA, the Aromamizer Supreme.
I've got a whole box of leaky sieve-like tanks.
Wicked according to this video, it has never leaked. Easy as well.

I have been using the goliath v2 with its juice flow control and there really isn't a way for it to leak when closed. Many rtas have jfc but for some reason this one has worked the best for me. I trust only a few to pocket.
damn mannn, finally someone still using their goliath v2
mine still works great after almost 2 years, not a single spare parts used up till now
this tank is tough as nail

can't really keep up with new style of coil though (clapton, gargoyle beheaded fused, dragon teeth twisted, etc), and using 80VG juice will muted the flavour if you chain vaping it, since the wick can't keep up
but hell, i use 50/50 or 60VG max, and it never disappoint me

my goliath already married with my xvostick
2 mods and 2 tanks are always in my bag, since i don't like dripping at work
one of them always the goliath v2, while the other always in rotation between kayfun, naulius and serpent

but off work im all about RDA :D

I agree with the other comments - its usually the wicking.

My 22mm Griffin was retired because of a constant moisture on the AFC ring (ditto with the AS and Boreas). Oddly the Griffin25 has no seepage. You might consider a OBS Crius, similar design but I've had better luck with it.

You also might want to consider the KF series. I have a number of KF4 and KF5's in service and never had a leak. Both have effective JFC and top fill.
