I've got the Natural now, which after modding a bit is absolutely lovely. But I'm wondering what's out there for a single 18350 that's SMALL. It seems with the Natural there's a fair bit of wasted space with the switch housing. I don't particularly care where the button is, I can adapt. I don't care if it's a "knock off", as there are only so many ways to design a tube with a battery inside. I just want something SMALL that doesn't take up too much real estate in my pocket. Less than $100 would be preferable. What's out there?

Small is going to be hard at under 100 dollars. I am not even sure what to recommend. I don't want to be that guy but for $140 a paps is awesome and available from a US vendor. 60mm is on the small side of small mechs

Other than that I would say a used paps or gus but you'd have to spend 15 bucks to upgrade the gus spring to an adjustable post (which is what the paps comes with).

What's small to you mm wise?

I've got my eye on the Lava Fire, but definitely in SS. I drop my Natural enough to not be OK with the aluminum. The Paps looks nice, and I've really been eyeing the Atmizoo Dingo, but don't know how long it is.

I swung by the GLV shop/factory today, and their 16340's are nice and small, but the one they let me try out (granted, it was used) had terrible threading, and being all aluminum seemed easy to REALLY ....... up the threads on.

The Dingo is quite short, just a hair taller than the Nemsis which is posing with a junk efest 18350 in this shot.

Bad - I vape an Igo-L, which would not fit nicely on a sidewinder... thanks though!

Whered - DAMNIT! you're making me want a Dingo even more... son of a....

Edit: dunno what you mean by "junk" Efest, I run the Efest 18350's in my Natural and they work great for me

Not a huge fan of the efests, I ordered 6 of them and two crapped out immediately. Haven't bothered with the rest of them. After a couple .8ish ohm toots they just simply stopped producing power. They still meter at full voltage but just simply won't put out any power. Setup should provide about 20 watts but they immediately dropped off DRASTICALLY. Instead of sub ohm vaping, I was sub watt vaping. Could be doing something wrong but never had that sort of issue with my AW IMRs.

I didn't so much mean to imply that the efests are junk, just the particular efest I threw in the nem was junk. Not a huge fan personally, but the price is amazing.

I have to admit I'm not a fan of Efests either. I normally run with four sizes of AW IMRs in my mods. Picked up a couple in two sizes of Efests just to give them a try when my daughter got her new mod. Both of us noted a big drop off in battery time after 2 weeks use which progressively got worse...nearly 40% less battery time by the time we both stopped using them and went back to the AW.

I compare them to the Trustfire, UltraFire, & Surefire second tier of batteries. Just my experience.

+1 on t crap efest batteries. I had the same issues and got some aw's and will never look back. For the OP, I love my all brass fattech m16 knock off in 350 mode for a small pocket beater. It's a bit bigger than the dingo but not much and the performance is almost as good as the sub twenty dollar price

For reference, from left to right:
AW IMR 18350
GP Paps
Atmizoo Dingo
HCigar Chi You Clone
Kamry Telescopic Storm

Smaller tends to be more expensive it seems... The Chi You clone is a pretty solid performer, but it's somewhere between 0.5 and 0.75 inches taller than the Paps. KTS is a bit taller still.

Just playing around with mechs the last few months, what I'm seeing is that the bottom-button mods tend to be shorter than bottom side-button mods.

The Chels Micro Stick is on my watch list--I don't think they get much smaller than that!
