Hello folks,

So I made the move to a mech (which I do so enjoy) device and the AGA-T2 atty. However, I am having a tid bit of trouble that is starting to make me want to strap some C4 to this atty and watch it blow to kingdom come.

I am getting little to no vapor no matter the setup I have tried. Now I have been rebuilding coils on various things for a while and never been this frustrated. The coils were made with varying wraps from 3/2 5/4 and 6/5 with 34 and 32 guage standard wire and .5mm ribbon. Just to eliminate wraps and different ohm ratings. The coils ohms range from 1.3 - 2.5 depending on the wire and wraps in question. Setups are listed below. If anyone has better suggestions, please guide me. I am preferring ribbon wire because it did help give a little more vapor but nothing near what it should be.

Attempted setups (base wick is 7x19 SS Rope, wicks better than 7x7 for me anyway):

Unoxidized SS 500 mesh "cap" on SS Rope
Oxidized SS 500 mesh "cap"
Tried the above with 400 mesh as well. Still nada.

Each above were tested with all the wire and wrap combos stated above.

Coils glow evenly with no hot spots. I have done everything I can think of. The draw is where I like it. Should I consider going further down in ohms with say .7mm or .8mm ribbon wire? How many wraps would you suggest, etc.?

I appreciate any suggestions and help before I sacrifice this atty to the great explosion gods lol.

Kind Regards,
Brokil

Im still fairly new to rba's myself, and recently got a AGA-T2. I havnt had much luck either using it with ss mesh.

So I built a micro coil with long legs to bring the coil right to the edge of the deck as close to the air flow hole as possible, put in some silica wick, and its has been working pretty good now...

AGA-T2 filled with NLV Bounty Hunter
Airflow hole drilled out to 1.6mm (1/16)
30g Kanthal
2.5mm Silica U-Wick
9/10 wrap micro coil around a 1/16 drill bit

Also have you drilled out your air flow hole? It comes with a tiny 1mm air flow hole, and the bigger you drill the air flow hole out to the bigger clouds/vapor you will get...
