Hi all,

I have been a long time vaper. I have been vaping for about 2 years or more and after the first 6 months of trials of different e-cigarettes and e-liquid, I found what I needed and stuck to it. What I stuck to for more than a year is the Riva 650mah battery with cartomizers using only Halo Menthol Ice. After I found my fix, I rarely went on this site. The Riva is still going strong for me after a year+ but I know something better has come out within the past year.

Like I said before, I have been out of the game since I just stuck to my Riva and my Halo juice. So my question is, what is a good replacement for my good ol' Riva? Even though my Riva is going strong, I want something that will last even longer. vaping on my Riva the past year, it probably lasts me about 8 hours a day then I would have to change to my backup battery. I know there are new and better e-cigarettes out there so please share your input for a guy that has been out of the loop!

I just want something similar to the Riva with longer battery life. What do you guys suggest I would get? I love the longevity of my Riva and I also like the size, so I don't really want anything bigger than that. I would like something a bit smaller but I doubt there is anything out there that has a better battery life and smaller than my Riva. In general, I would like my next e-cigarette to last me a whole day instead of just the 8 hours my Riva puts out.

Thank you in advance and vape on!

The newest things that people want now at days are VV mods. I honestly haven't seen much mods that are about the size of the Riva with longer battery life. So, you might just have to sacrifice that aspect when your looking for an upgrade.

What are you really looking for besides battery life when it comes to mods? People will have a better idea as to what to suggest to you if you answer that question. Personally, I like bottom feeders and that's no secret. Not sure how you feel about box mods though.

the ego-t 1000mah battery is a great option, as it's a quality (genuine Joye) product, and you can use the same cartos you're using now. it's the same diameter as a 650, and about an inch longer. btw, you don't have to buy an entire ego-t kit (which i wouldn't recommend anyway, as i think cartomizers are superior to ego-t tanks). Cignot sells the batteries and chargers individually, and has great service.

Sounds like the pefect solution as to what lostboy be looking for...I have the Joye Ego 1100 passthru which is pretty much the same. Was a great purchase that met my needs quite well.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Back when I was trying out all the e-cigarettes, I never got into Mods. I just thought they were confusing and more of a hassle. And that came to my reasoning in sticking with my Riva. It was easy to carry around and quick to refill my 510 cartomizers. No hassle and lasted me for awhile. I guess like most people, I just got bored of my Riva and was thinking of upgrading to something that lasts longer.

Thanks for the reply!

I will definitely go check that out. Also, since I have been out of the game, are there newer and better cartomizers? I use the ones from Halo and LiquidExpress.

Also, what is the difference in Low resistance and NR cartomizers?

And can I use these new drip tips for my cartomizer? As carrying a paper clip to open the plastic can get a little annoying after all this time.

No problem, totally understand where your coming from. Even a few years ago when there were only 3 piece kits. I found them confusing too and the performance sucked on those things.

Started vaping again with an ego-T. Which seemed like the most hassle free e-cig that I could spot along with long battery life. Wanted to upgrade with a similar intention. Caused me to get into bottom feeders since they was no muss and fuss in usage.

LR's simulate high voltage vaping, and are very popular with members...although they also suck up more power...but it's worth it!

my two faves on cartomizers are Boge 2.0 LR and Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers (EMDCC's)...Boge LR's for when i'm at home (as they only hold around 1ml), and EMDCC's when i'm anywhere else (as they hold almost 5mls(!) and are a very close second to Boge LR's in terms of taste and vapor.

and yes, you can use drip tips on your cartomizer -- be sure to check the size requirement before buying...i use regular 510 drip tips on my Boge LR's (the EMDCC's come with their own (HUGE) flat or round tips).

There are a TON of new atomizers. Resurrectors, Boge LR 2.0, and Dual Coil cartos are one of most talked about cartos now at days. You can get them here:

Crystal Clear Vaping

They also have carto tanks. Which is definitely the "thing" now. Since it will allow you to carry x ml of juice with you. Which means you don't have to worry about topping off. Here's a cheap tank that has a good reputation:

Carto Tank Mods

Be sure to get one that goes with the cartos you like.
