I was actually really excited when I found out about the merlin, but then found out the guy isn't making anymore... I am using a madvapes vv box and it's fine for what it does. I'd like a provari quality dual 14500 box mod. I've found that a 14500 box is about the perfect size for me and doesn't look like "other" things...

Aside from the Merlin is there another vv mod out there with good electronics? I've seen that 18650 box mod which is nice but WAY to big, It has to be able to fit in my ACU shoulder pocket, oh yeah and needs to be somewhat durable.

Actually in stock or receivable within a month would be nice as well...

Well your simply not going to find a mod like the merlin unless it was made by Mamu, she is the best at what she does.
The best thing to do is get on her e-mail list and wait your turn. Right now she is building the Minxy, but the waiting list for it is as long as your arm.
Minxy - A VV Wood Box Mod by Mamu - YouTube

If you want to build your own Mamu designed mod pdf's on how to build them are availible. And yes I built a Dena, and it will melt your eyebrows if you want it to.

The big brother was the mod I was referring to as being to big. I'm not big on wood mods mainly cause I KNOW I'll break em, army life isn't really suited to carrying a wood mod around, which is why I started with a Reo mini, durable as heck but not vv.

I looked at the VVPV but I've seen that there are quite a few problems to least of which, to me, is the battery connection issue.

I looked at the sgt vv tank by jmarkus, but he is also not making those until he gets revision 3 done.

Anyone want to sell me their Merlin? That seems like the perfect mod for my needs! 14500 are just about perfect in size for me, I don't mind carrying a couple extra batts just in case, but with a 306 Cisco in a tank or on my Reo I rarely need another batt, I guess I'm a moderate vapor, I go through, at most, 3 mls a day.

Just read the how to of the mod you linked, that thing looks perfect! Unfortunatly soldering, messing around with electric gizmos, let alone getting them here while stationed in Korea, is one of the things I haven't learned, you don't have much chance to build a hobby shop whe you move every couple of years to new stations.

Any chance I could pay someone to make one of these for me?

I have a krimson kostom vv listed very well built box these to me are one of the best vv box mods.It uses 2 14500's as you mentioned i am including 4 aw imr 14500's.These are built with evercool componites witch gives you much longer battery life and does not get hot.You can also run any type of carto/atty with these at high voltage unlike the regulated mods. You can run a 1.5 ohm dc carto over 5 volts if you desire.
James build quality is great very solid. The box has nice rounded corners as well so not pointy.I have 3 marks etched in as well by turn dial givving you a ideal ware your at in volts.

I was actually going to point that one out earlier in the thread but, if you look in his thread, you'll find he's not making them any more. It was cutting too much into school and family life. I can understand that.

Ya i'm sure it takes alot of time with how well he builds his mods.Shame mabey some day he will be back at it.At least he said he will take care of all the mods he has built already though i've never had one issue with mine.

    .

I think they've sorted it out... at least judging by this beautiful, powerful, consistent PV I'm vaping right this minute ;) Here are my thoughts on the VVPV.

If you do end up giving it any serious consideration, note my comments section 2. It has a description of the dimensions, and your original post mentions your desire for a particular size PV. It could be a little bit bigger than you might prefer.

EDIT: Here's a pic of the VVPV and my madvapes VV box in my hand - click the thumbnail -:
