... Or, if you're a DIYer... what's the secret ingredients??? ...

I to love a good, strong Caramel flavor… But have had limited success getting my DIY mixes to have that “Pop” that some retail juice have. I think I might have found the “Secret Ingredient”.

I mixed this up about a week ago and it was ok. Here is the bottle label which has the recipe on it.

Kinda Flat tasting and Nothing to write home about. I didn’t want to increase the percentages of flavorings for fear it would get bitter. In my depressed I went to the liquor cabinet for a good stiff drink. And there, sitting in all it’s 750ml glory was what I was missing in my mix. Dark Rum.

I have heard that many people put Pure Grain Alcohol or Vodka in mixes but since I don’t drink either much it sort of slipped my mind. I added 3 drops to 5ml of the Amaretto mix and put it in the “wait to be used box” in my drawer.

The next day I tried it and it was Great. Had a stronger, deeper taste like what you get from retail juice. Excited about my new found discovery, I put 3 drops in 5ml of a pure Caramel mix. After 24 hours, the results were the same. Deeper, more intense flavor.

You might try adding a 3 drops of Dark Rum to a 5ml test bottle of Caramel. It worked Very well for me.
