Metal or cased in metal, for about $60. VMod fits the bill perfectly.

One suggestion -- if you get one, and are annoyed with the whole tip-to-squonk concept, rig up a straw inside the bottle, and then you can blind-squonk it just like a Reo. I can give you more details if you'll be interested.

ive been looking for instructions, or a guide to setting up the straw....any info you can post? or PM me

My pleasure.

You'll need a silicone tube or straw of appropriate size and an old head from a vivi nova or something similar to that. I got my tube a while ago from Silicone Tubing. That works well, but I'm sure you can use other tubes.

Take the silicone seal out of your vmod. The one that the bottle seals against when you screw it in. You likely have extras that come with spare set of bottles.

Put your straw or silicone tube through the center of the seal. Take the very bottom part out of the vivi nova head. It looks like a thick short metal nail with a hole through the center of it. Plug it into the top end of the straw. It will hold the straw to the silicone seal so it doesn't leak.

Optionally, you can glue all that together. I chose not to, so it would be easier to take apart and clean if the need arises.

Stuff the seal with the straw back into the bottle threads of the VMod with tweezers or paper clip. Take care not to damage the seal, or it will leak. Cut the bottom of the straw to fit into the bottle. I cut mine on an angle so it doesn't "suction cup" itself to the inside of the bottle.

Ta-daa! Now you can blind squonk. For those that happen not to know what it is, it's when you squeeze the bottle while (for lack of better term) sucking on the carto or atomizer. Once you hear gurgling, it's filled. No more need to guess, no more flooding.

Sorry, no pictures yet. I'll try to take and post them next time I have to reload and clean my VMod.

Good luck!

You can sometimes get a Reo in the classifieds for under $100. I got one from the classifieds about 2 years ago and I'm still using it. In fact I thought it was broken and sent it to Rob recently and he sent it back and said there was nothing wrong with it.

Less expensive, I have a vmod and a boge rev and they're both OK. They aren't metal.

edit: Don't mean 'OK' as bad. Both work well. Just not metal if that's what your looking for.

I searched for a bottom feeder for months and then decided against one for two reasons:

    1. I liked the look of wood but read so many saying that the wood absorbs the smell of the juice and some said the plastic does also and that it really turned them off smelling like that with it in their pocket/purse. I don't know if the smell is "contagious" from the bottle and, if it isn't then metal would be best.
    2. The bottles have the same problem tanks do with certain juices etching the plastic though instead of cracking it. I didn't like the idea of vaping dissolved plastic. I store my juice in glass because of it so why would I vape out of plastic?

Now I'm looking at box mods and really like that Sigelie someone posted here... only thing with that is I don't like preordering.

Just some thoughts for you to consider since I have.

Ah ... what was that juice packaged in when it was delivered to you? I've had many of those flavors sitting here in plastic bottles for months. No cracking, no etching, those flavors work in my Reo just fine. In fact those flavors are one of the reasons I got a Reo. The bottle in the Reo is made of the same material as the bottles most vendors ship those flavors in.
