With all the great mods out there I know there have to be more steam punk looking mods out there than just the GG.

Maybe I am just dreaming of something that doesn't exist but I want something that looks like you might have seen it in a Doctor Who episode. I am imagining something with a needle that tells the volts, adjustable voltage, a juice feeder, and a big button with a screw lock. And really anything that generally makes it the coolest mod Ever! (Isn't that what we all want?)

It can be bulky. That would be so steam punk. It should be able to create tons of vapor and generally burn through tons of my juice. It shouldn't really be practical but it should make me smile every time I look at it in my hand.

I would like to spend around $200 but will go up to $300. Does that sound totally unreasonable? Does anyone know of anything like that? Or anything close in that price range?

Thanks for all your help and advice!

Some brass pipes, a big Map tank, old-school tiny pressure gauge...
You may be on to something.
It could even be big, with a wooden housing and powered by a
HUGE hand crank.

Here's a Water pipe i found, very steampunk:

They called it a pneumatiforminfumationizer.
COMPLETLY different idea than you are going
for i know, and not the design i'd go with but
along the same line...

You aren't gonna get the "coolest mod ever" with all those features for anywhere near $300. I can't imagine anyone with the talent to make that working that cheap. JMO

Darn you and your Doctor Who reference. Now I'm thinking of having the guy who makes the Monkeyboxx see if he can make one that looks like the Tardis. Now that it's stuck in my head I must have one. Check out his pics of the VV model he makes and picture it painted to look like the Tardis and tell me it wouldn't be totally geeky awesome. :)

No, I must have missed that. I'm gonna have to do a search to see if I can find it. Who else is counting the days until the new season starts :)

I wont care about the new sixth season until netflix gets off their
asses and gives us the fifth season on streaming...

But, that's enough thread hijacking.

please pardon the Noob in me who's obliged to share ideas ahead of building anything...

don't know if this looks steampunk, but it's supposed to - from a blog here
steampunk lighter
(note gold is glued on appliques - no idea where to find them)

And, the main idea I'd like to share is hydrographics - if anyone finds water transfer film that would look a bit like steampunk, please share it. I really think water transfer could be the poor man's steampunkery.

here's another USB drive - sliding mechanism, light in window, and good ideas for how to glue on layers of stuff

this one bears an uncanny resemblance to "Rosy" of the Jetson's cartoon series

I think I'll shoot this artist a link - maybe open up new horizons

EDIT: unfortunately he declined with this:

Subject: Steampunk E-Cigarette

"Thank you for thinking of me, but it's not something I want to pursue."
