looking for a step by step guide on how to build a vv/vw mod

Not using dna20 if possible..it's kinda expensive and since i dont have any experience in building mods I don't want to risk ruining a $50 chip on some nooby mistake.

That being said, Are there any guides on here that can teach me how to make a vw mod with a screen?

I plan on using an old motorola phone. It's bigger than those old cricket nokia phones but not as big as a regular home telephone.

If your follow the Milo-How-To by Mamu, it is pretty tough to mess up. It is very clear and informative. I would not have been able to do it without that how to. I have made a few box mods from the info in that how-to. I have messed up a dna 20 board, but that was completely my own fault and it was actually while trying to tear down a previously completed mod. It was the first mod I ever made. And I hadnt even ever soldered anything before.

I think the easy option is sticking a Kick on top of a battery. Cheap and not much to go wrong.

Apart from that read everything by Mamu and bapgood. Then read it all again and all the great post you can find around here. Only tip I can give is start with something within, at least not too far without, your abilities. A small success is a great motivator and confidence builder. Failure sucks but it happens to us all, sometimes
