Looking for a Strawberry flavor on lower ohm coils

Hello all!

Registered on ECF awhile ago, but haven't gotten around to posting. I had asked this question over on the sub on reddit, but I may have worded it wrong I guess. I have a russian 91%, and RSST, and I build coils that are 1 ohm to 1.4ohms. Strawberry is my absolute flavor, but I found I cannot use Strawberry on these coils on my Magneto mech. They taste burnt.

Does anybody know any awesome sweet/ripe strawberry flavors that don't burn up on mechs and lower ohm coils? I've tried strawberry from my local B&M as well as Killer Juices, and Vapor Trails NW. Same result on al of them. I've got some strawberries and cream on the way from Killer Juices, and I plan on putting in an order for zombie apocalypse for AiV as well, but these are all strawberry mixes, and I don't think I'm going to get that strawberry flavor I love.

Would going a higher VG make a difference? My juices are normally 50/50.

You may not be able to get around it. It's not the VG or lack of it that's a problem. It's the flavoring components that just can't take the heat. Instead of trying to chase a liquid to adapt to the coil, why not just do the easy and adapt the build to the liquid?

Honestly, I love the dense, and warm, vape I get from the lower ohm coils on a mech. When I miss the flavor I grab my MVP 2 with a protank on it and use that, but I don't get that hit that I do with my russian and mech. I was hoping that wasn't the answer, but I somewhat expected it. I'm hoping that strawberries and cream give me that flavor I'm chasing after. Currently using G2 Drunk Monkey (amazing juice), but I still find myself picking up the mvp 2 for the strawberry.

Dry hits shouldn't be caused by your liquid. It's a wicking issue.

What do you use for wicking material? What kind of coils do you build?

It's definitely the liquid. I discovered this after over 12 hours total of building coils. I did single coil, micro coils, twisted coils, twisted micro coils, 28g, 30g. I used cotton, silica, ekowool with cotton core, ekowool with a silica core. On the RSST just SS Mesh. After building coil after coil thinking I was doing something wrong, on a whim I decided to use a banana I just had sitting there. Worked fine, no issues, no burnt taste, tasted great, and I got to experience the Russian for the first time. I then got the banana low, but not dry and threw in the strawberry. First few hits were fine, but then the banana was gone. Got 1 nice strawberry flavor, but vape #2 was burnt.

Edit: It's not a dry hit, as I've gotten to experience those on the Russian when using the steel tank instead of the clear tank where I can see the liquid level. It's a burnt taste, not a throat just caught on fire like a dry hit.

Hmmm that's weird. Never heard of that before. I've had to re-wick coils for thicker/darker juices but never had a juice that tastes burnt no matter how I wick my coil.

Try a different juice company?

I've tried a few different ones. My uneducated guess is that it's the sweeteners, or the flavoring that perhaps heats up too quickly at that power that creates the burnt taste. That is what I'm looking for though, if anybody has any suggestions on a strawberry and used them on mechs with coils under 1.5 ohms.

I'm vaping moo juice from mt. baker in a Zenith RDA at .4 ohm (dual micro w/ cotton) as we speak.

It is deeeeeelicious. Not a pure strawberry flavor. It's a strawberry and cream, but I'd highly recommend it.

I'll put it on the list. My wife will murder me if I order any more juices and end up giving them away at work. Given out about 100ml of juice over the past few days (not strawberry related) of random stuff I've ordered to just try out. I'm hoping the Strawberries and Cream from Killer Juices is amazing, and hopefully get an order in to Alice in Vapeland on Tuesday.

Im dripping cartomater crush from namberjuice on a .9 ohm dual coil no burnt taste just nice sweet flavor. I did put it in a protank and got burnt flavor though . Its a strawberry champagne flavor
