Hello, I am a very simple vaper and am not up on all of the latest and greatest mod's and stuff and I like to keep it simple.

I had a SS Apollo Vtube for 2 years that worked great but is now dead. I have a bunch of tanks and Cartomizers that fit the Lava Tube (510 as I understand it) so I am looking for a replacement that will still work with the tanks and cartos I have. The place where I usually order has this in stock

Vamo VV Mod V2

But I read some reviews that say there are some problems with the threading with this unit and a 510. I am looking to spend less than $80 if possible. Any suggestions out there? Or what do you think of the VAMO VV Mod V2?

I can't really speak to the quality of anything aside from the mods I own. I did extensively research all the popular APVs with first and foremost in mind; durability and performance per price.

What sort of batteries do you use/own the most?

I have both the Smoktech SID and the iTaste MVP v2.0.

I've owned the SID for ... almost 4 months now. It's just as good as the day it arrived. Very high performing. I haven't had a single issue with airflow, button, threads, or performance whatsoever. Some owners claim the button is faulty, but in fact if anything it's too clicky... and does require some steady pressure to keep it firing.

The SID will go up to 6 volts or 15 Watts, it has an Ohm checker, battery indicator, and multitudes of battery safety and short protection. For $50 it's a very high performing tube mod on a budget price. If at anytime you should break/lose any part you can most certainly find a replacement on Madvapes, etc It's basically a Zmax chip with an eVic body. Slim & powerful. You can also buy tubes for different battery sizes, but default is 18650.

The MVP v2.0 will go up to 5 volts or 11 watts. It also has an ohm checker, a puff counter, but no battery indicator. You will get a color cycle on your button to warn you of battery power, though. Green is good, yellow is less than half charge, red means it is about to die. It also has battery and short protection and the deal from 101vapes I linked is very hard to beat. Pound for pound it's probably one of the best mods you could buy.

That's all I really have to say. Both those are well under $80 and should keep you vaping for a long time. I did take a look at all the APVs out there, Vamo, EVIC, Zmax, Provari... either they were too expensive, I didn't like the shape, or I couldn't find any available. YMMV

Hope you find something you like :vapor:
