So I have been vaping for a few years now... mostly using ego battery, clearos and some tanks. Right now I have a Kamry X6 1300 mah and using the X6 tank and GS-H5 tanks from fasttech. Getting it to work properly is often a hit and miss.

After looking around, I do like the Egrip, which seems easy to use, no fussing around, but also if something breaks or stops working everything is gone.

Another one I like for the size/power is the IStick 30W (features and size are important), but now that means I need to find a smallish tank that can hold at least 3+ml. Aspire Nautilus seems to be the rage... wondering about the Melo from eleaf and Joytech Delta 2 also.

I am looking for something that isn't too high in price/atomizer price, however not looking to rebuild. Wondering if something joytech would be my target for their QC.

Thank you for any advice.

I can't weigh in on those particular atomizer as I've moved entirely to rebuildables.

What I can say is that I value a replaceable battery and a higher quality chip (better power output signal and increased efficiency) over many of these mini devices where if something fails you pretty much have to toss it. These days I'd spend more for a DNA 30/40 (i.e. vaporshark) or yihi (sigelei, ipv) chip even if it means spending $50 to $150. I might sound spoiled, but I've learned the hard way that I'd rather buy one dependable device than three cheapies.

I'm gonna have to agree although eleaf has uped there game on the 50 watt chip set, pair that with a kanger sub nano 1.2 ohm

Thank you for all the comments so far :)
I know a lot of vapers prefer replaceable batteries but personally that is one point I don't mind, yes if the battery dies, am screwed, but any device could have problems.

A few things I am looking for:

Small form factor
USB charging
Fixed Battery
Good battery life (2200+ would be great)
ohm meter
VV/VW
Not ugly
Flexible enough that I can try different tanks/clearos.

Now I don't know much about sub-ohming, I haven't looked at the forums in over a year, what I had was working fine (I have been 100% off analogs for over 2 years, tried ecig 4 years ago but wasn't great then so was on and off till 2 years ago).

I am looking for something that will work "for me", which means no hasle, only having to charge and refill only once a day (my current 1300 last me 2/3rd of the day and vaping 2 to 3ml per day), replacing atomizer head only once a week, something that won't fall over too easily when standing up, fitting in my side pocket (phones don't fit, so bigger rectangular mods won't either)

I notice another istick alike: Heatwave Defender (I like the central position of the tank, but a bit taller than Isticks).

Been looking at reviews of the Joyetech Delta 2, Aspire Atlantis, Subtank. Melo, etcc... all looking like transformers spawns compared to the tanks I am using :)
Just wondering if this is what I need.

I received my Beyang 30W in the mail today, 3 day shipping from discountvapers. So far, am happy with it!

Pros:

  • 30W is more than enough for my needs
  • The form factor/shape (only 3 mm taller than istick30) and a nice roundish look (I hate the lip on the istick30 and the fact that the istick20 has the atomizer on the squarish side..why!).
  • 2500mah - 0.2ohm to 3.5 ohm - 2.5W to 30W

Cons:
  • No voltage/wattage lock (just turn it off)
  • Not a spring center pin (screw type adjustment).
  • Doesn't make dinner (damn!)

Pro or Con:
  • When I put an atomizer, it sets the wattage to xx, when I put a diff ohm atomizer, it sets it to something different. I am not sure if that's just setting it to what it thinks it should be vaped at or if it's a setting it can remember. I haven't figured that part out yet, it doesn't say anything about it in the book, thinking case #1.

Bonus (could have done without):
  • Flashlight
  • Power bank to charge Cellphone
It seems to have more the menu of the istick20 than istick30 for scrolling, long press = Fast-ish scroll, and scroll faster if you press the same direction once scrolling (press 2 times and it goes very fast).

For me it works great, I am sure there will be new versions just like any other. I really like the shape of it, I didn't want a box and it feels great in the hand. Tanks screw in nice and tight to the top plate. Center pin is adjustable via a screw (would have preferred spring).

Everything seems to be working great, the button rattles just a little bit (you really have to shake it to hear anything, seems less than the video of isticks I saw), a few pics of mine (blurry :( ):
