Hi all,

I'm new here and have been smoke free for one year now. Upon reading several posts I've discovered that apparently I've been spending way too much money on my e-cig purchases from White Cloud. I've enjoyed using their Cirrus 3 automatic batteries and the pre-filled cartridges. The menthol taste is very good.

I'm looking for advice on getting a similar setup. I'm not interested in filling my own cartridges at this time, but will look into that in the near future. I'm looking for something that looks looks like a real cigarette, as that's what I've become used to.

Thanks for any help you guys can give.
:)

To be brutally honest as long as you are using pre-filled cartos you will be spending a lot more then if you filled your own. most if not all pre-filled are expensive and you will still be spending the same amount. Filling your own is very simple as there are a ton of videos on here to show you how. You will also cut the cost of your habit by more then half (just as long as you don't get the mod bug).
I fill my own and spend maybe $15 a month on juice, about $200 a year and that is what I used to spend on analogs a month.
Go ahead and take the plunge it's not as hard as you think and you get way more options in flavors that way.

Thanks c.chalie and on3fifth... Those look a little too masculine for me, but thanks.
Aredlleg, thanks, and I've been looking at the V4L products and am considering that.
Doberz and Mr. P, thanks, but for now, I'm not ready for dripping... maybe in the future.

I do have a question about that though... is it best to use manual batteries when dripping?

To use a DC carto you will have to get away from the cig style of batts as they just don't have the power for them. A DC carto runs at 1.5 ohms and the small cig looking batts only hold about 400mah of power. As a basic rule of thumb every 100mah is equal to one hour of use before it needs to be charged. You would need to get into the bigger batts for those cartos. An Ego style batt is what most people upgrade to, it gives you longer running time at 650mah + so you don't have to charge as often. Most batts are rated at 3.7v so low resistance (LR) cartos 1.5-2.0 ohms are what they use to get a hotter vape which will help with throat hit (TH) and most flavors.
I could go on and on but there is just so much info.

Wow! You paid WAAAAY too much for that first kit. Ouch!

Stick with manual batteries for dripping.

Vapor4Life is a good choice, and they have plenty of pre-filled cartos to choose from. As others said, refilling your own cartos will save a lot of money.

Other equally good choices are Bloog, Volt, Smoov, and Halo G6.

Forget dual coil or low resistance on the small KR808 batts. They don't have enough charge and will degrade and die quickly. Stick with cartomizers that are rated 2.5 ohm or higher. The WOW cartos from Vapor4Life are great as well as the cartos from the previously mentioned choices. They are all pretty much standard cartos and are rated between 2.6-3.0 ohm, which is right where you want to be. GoodProphets has excellent prices on empty cartos - NEW Soft Tip GP808 Cartomizers for 808

Thanks for all the info guys. :) I'm looking at these two batteries but don't understand the difference. Any advice?

Vapor King Single Logo Automatic Battery - Electronic Cigarette Batteries

Vapor King Diamond Series Automatic Battery with BLING!

They are both good bets but I would strongly recommend that you go with a manual battery because they're just better in my experience. I think that the first one is slightly more powerful but it probably has a shorter cutoff time.

Edited to add: They both come in pretty colors but the Diamond Series ones are a bit slimmer and more elegant looking.

Def get a manual battery. They not only are sealed so you wont kill it with a juice leak, but they also allow you to control your vape alot more, which will give you a better vape. Most people get used to the manual batteries very quickly and it basically becomes second nature. Also you said youll be looking into filling your own cartos in the near feature and you will def want a manual battery for that. Your spending way more money than you need to using them and they also greatly limit your options for flavors. FIlling your own cartos really is extremely easy and its really not a pain or a hassle like you prob think it is. Not only is it alot cheaper, but then you can use the 1000s of different juices that are available from an array of different vendors.

Def dont use low resistance cartos or dual coil cartos on a slim ecig bc you likely will damage/kill your battery. If you can get over wanting your ecig to look like a real cig, you can get a bigger battery PV that will give you a better vape, alot better battery life, and even more options bc then you could use low resistance cartos, which most people prefer.

Just get some standard resistance boge cartomizers. It takes like 10 seconds to fill one with a blunt tip syringe. So if you just take 5 min in the evening, and fill up your empty cartomizers, and put them in their little rubber caps, you're good to go.

1 Boge cartomizer can last 1-3 weeks
1 cartomizer holds 1ml of e-juice and last about an hour of straight vaping
6 cartomizers in a pack, costs 6 bucks
30 ml might cost you 10-20 bucks

3 packs of cartomizers (18 bucks)
30 ml of ejuice (20 bucks)
1 blunt-tip syringe (a buck)
shipping (8-14 bucks)
Total: 53 bucks

versus 100 bucks a month

This is just the essentials though, many of us spend 100 bucks or more a month, but for the same amount of money you're spending, we get ALOT more. It also allows us to build up a reserve in case we are short on cash a certain month or run into unforeseen hardships, we have enough to get us through the rough patches.

You can also refill your existing cartridges :)

The first one has 10-13 second cutoff and is a solid color with a simple LED on the tip.
The second one has a 20 second cutoff, has a swirly color design, and has a bejeweled LED tip. Perfect for the girlie girl in all of us. :)
The cutoff is a built in safety feature. Once the time limit is reached, the unit automatically shuts off. 10 seconds is more than enough for most....I pass out at 7 seconds:p

You don't have to drip with the kit I posted. Just get some cartomizers, then some juice, and fill them on your own. It's very easy and will save you a lot of money in the long run.
