Of course you need to know ohms law, you have to absolutely know what your battery is rated at, and know all the other safety precautions you should be taking. You should know some basics in electricity, like how it travels and what a short is and how to check for shorts.
My first was a MCV M16 clone and my second was a MCV Panzer clone, both are still working fine and are build like Fort Knox.

Look at VC products there high quality at a decent price
If you have a dot mod then your budget should afford a VCM or something similar

Same thing I'll tell everyone: brass knurled King V2. A close second would be a Stingray X clone. Both hit like Ike and are under $15
Overdose or any mod with vent holes near the 510. Bottom vent holes are pointless and wont help in the event of venting.
The Rai Vapes Launcher V2 telescopic mod is the best mod for both beginners and veterans. Copper contact pins with a recessed switch is hard to beat and being telescopic is not fussy with battery length. It is sometimes also called the N112 clone which is the same mod. I have two of them and it is my go to mod.
