Looking for info on Joytech E-Go C with Kanger Protank 2 mini

Hello all,

I'm looking into doing my own coil rebuilds for the Kangertech Protank 2 mini and using the steam engine calculator for coil wrapping.

First question: What's the lowest OHM I should use with the JoyTech E-Go C battery I can't seem to find the maximum amp output for it anywhere or the OHM limit for it.

Second question: What Leg length would I use for the KangerTech Protank 2, not sure what it is.

Third question: What gauge wire should I use (I was looking at using between 28 and 32).

Last question: Is there a place I can get 2mm and 1mm cotton wicks so I don't have to mess with making my own?

Thanks ahead of time for the help! :)

the amp limit depends on the MAH of the battery. if you're using a 1000MAH battery i wouldn't go past 2 amps. i would shoot for the same ohms as the original coil was, that being 1.8ohm or 2.5omhs? and if you are new to building coils i wound't suggest trying to build your first coil in a protank( so little space and finicky) i'v been building coils for a long time and i still wouldn't bother with it. if you are determined to rebuild it however, there are some great youtubers who have step by step rebuilds. i would suggest RiP Trippers. and as for the wicking question most of us just make our own with cotton balls but i have heard of some people using organic cotton yarn, but i haven't tried it myself. good luck on your adventure!

Protank coils are pretty easy to build. First, you should have an ohms meter. I use 30ga or 32ga wire. With 30ga, about 7 wraps on a 1/16" drill bit. With 32ga I think it is about 5-6 wraps. My target is 1.8 ohms.

The reason for the 1/16" drill bit is that that size will fit in the slots where the coil goes so that I can hold the coil in place while I fiddle with the legs.

Then I wick with a bit of cotton. Easy Peasy.

Thanks everyone I think I'll use 30g wire to start with and maybe cotton yarn if I can find it since I feel it would be easier to work with :) Going to look at the RiP trippers video I pulled on of the coils it came with (the 2.2 ohm coil) and screwed with it a bit. Seems easy enough to do as long as you've got enough wire to work with.
