Posted a couple days ago, just got back into vaping. Currently using tfv12, and freemax mesh pro. Now looking for a rta. Never had a rebuildable tank. I have done rda's. I don't mind doing coils, but I have always had issues wicking. I would like to get back into it. I prefer open draw DTL. I vape 60 to 80 on my current setup. When I made my own coils on my rdas I vaped 80 to 140w. Rda I prefer a warmer to hot vape. All my mods currently are 200w +. I love clouds, And flavor. If I need to choose between the 2, clouds win. I just ordered supplies to make my own juice, and plan to do a unflavored nic base.

Zeus X tanks. Either the dual coil model or the mesh version is a very good top airflow tank rta

An Ulton Typhoon GT IV clone may be of interest @simplesid242.

Or if you're really looking for clouds. Have a look at Steam Crave Ragnar RDTA and Aromamizer Plus V2 RDTA, they're what you need to totally fog a room out.

But there is also the option of Squonking, as you have a decent amount of experience with RDA's.

There's been a few reviews on the forum and some of them included how to build, other than that YouTube comes to mind.

@simplesid242, the closest I have is a couple of Aromamizer Plus V2's. And I'm still trying to get it to work well with the mesh deck, just have to learn how it likes to be built.

But the Postless Deck for the Ragnar does look interesting, as it's been designed with airflow directed under the coil. So that should help flavour production.

A good thing about the mesh deck is that it can Squonk, which can be very useful for avoiding the dreaded dry hit off mesh.

But as folks have said, when you get the mesh deck sorted it's pretty good.

And the interchangeable decks are inspired, you can even get more of all types available. Some folks do that and then coil and wick the extra decks, so that all they have to do is swap over the deck.

Yes. Just what I was looking for. Went thru a full tank, refilled for tomorrow. I'm at 60w, on the included mesh. My next day off work I'll probably play around with some coils. Try out the postless deck. So far tho, I'm enjoying the mesh. Thinking about picking up a hadron mod.

The Hadron isn't bad at all, I'm having some issues in TC though. But I think that may be fixed with a firmware update.

But I got the Squonk backpack as well, which adds a bit more to the dimensions. And don't forget to add the two 21700 cells as well on top.

So it's not small by any means and it does have some heft to it.

But if you want something affordable that'll run interesting builds and is well thought out, I would recommend it.

I moved the tank over to my rx300. So I can pretty much power any build i make. It just hangs off the front a little. I have a ton of 18650's, but would like to see how the bigger batteries hold up in comparison. Going from a 4 bat mod to a 2, I think the weight will be similar. I actually prefer a larger mod.

Well at least in a pinch the Hadron would make a good weapon, it's that kind of large and heavy with batteries in.

But it's a solid mod.

The only issue I've encountered so far is with the TC or Temperature Control mode, it doesn't seem to reach the temperature set.

Hopefully a firmware update will fix it, as when I adjust the TCR (Temperature Coefficient of Resistance) it starts to work better. So it seems as though there's a bug with the firmware version that's installed on mine.

But I reckon you'll like the Squonk backpack as well, which you have to buy separately. So you can get 2 different mods out of 1, by either using the backpack or not.

Never thought to look fur a rebuild deck for the tfv 12. I'll try that as well

Certainly a nice thing to have, you'll be able to use your tfv12 even if they stop producing coils. They're not expensive, so I'd go for it. But if you're looking for a true RTA experience then I'd suggest getting a new tank. I have tfv12 Prince tank, got the RBA deck- in terms of the flavor and clouds, I honestly see no difference between the rba and the drop in coils
