I still prefer the word blend any day over hybrid on this subject. Hybrid in the vaping world has never made sense to me as it has been a stretch for any definition to actually apply. Yet it has been used for both attys and apvs.
My friendly dictionary.com has this definition:
"anything derived from heterogeneous sources, or composed of elements of different or incongruous kinds: a hybrid of the academic and business worlds"
I find flavors of various sorts to be the exact opposite, homogeneous, not heterogeneous. They can blend quite nicely, depending on the chef, of course.
It's common practice on ECF to not discuss analogs/stinkies, so I'd rather not discuss those other terms. Leave that older technology and their blending techniques for other discussion areas.
Just my
carry on.......
There's a few wrinkles.
It says "
derived from heterogeneous sources" or "
composed of elements of different or incongruous kinds." "Tobacco" and "cereal" are elements of different kinds (vastly different) and these liquids are
derived from and
composed of ingredients like that. Anyway, though these liquids are derived from and composed of elements (flavors) of dissimilar stock, it results in a harmonious experience, even if it's a hybrid, i.e. tobacco plus dessert.
It's common practice on ECF to not discuss analogs/stinkies, so I'd rather not discuss those other terms.
Uh, that's not true. However, if you don't want to discuss it, don't.
Leave that older technology and their blending techniques for other discussion areas.
Just know that I'll discuss what I want, when I want, where I want--as long as it conforms to the rules and regulations of ECF, is within the parameters of the OP's topic, and/or is in the flow of the conversation. Oh, and if someone asks and open-ended question like:
...
What category of flavor to we call these flavors that do have the slight hint of a tobacco base?
...
I am just as qualified to give my opinion, and the reasoning behind it, as anyone else that vapes these liquids. Your opinion and mine are on equal footing (even if the logic is from different sources).
You choose to call NLV tobacco liquids "blends." I think that's accurate, rudimentary, but accurate. I am not sure I haven't had an eliquid that wasn't a blend, so yes,
blend works, I guess.
I was under the impression that the only prerequisite for this thread was an appreciation for NLV? A diverse body of posters is cool, no? Or does it have to be homogeneous?
I'm hoping that this thread will be a place where everyone can add their impressions and reviews of all the NLV flavors, so pick your fave and go for it!
Vets and Newbs welcome! ...
OP
Sweet. I am welcome!
I say Gold is a fantastic tobacco/dessert hybrid that leans much more to the dessert side, but it performs and hits like a rough-n-tumble tobacco. The tastiness of a sweet, yet toasty rich dessert with the performance of a tobacco. Two disparate veins coming together to create a unified whole. Gold.
