I swore off cartomizers when I got tired of the mess and hassle of filling 7-10 of them every night. But since I still have a few unused LR cartos left, I filled one and tried it. It tastes about the same, just with weaker flavor and harsher throat feel. All my other juices taste fine in the same clearos/cartos so it's gotta be the liquid. I'll just hafta let this one steep and hope for the best.

So I've been thinking...

It might be that the issues you are having with the 2 NLV vliquids have more to do with hardware than with software.

You are using a clearo, right? The atty didn't work out for you (yet). Could be that the coil just isn't ab-fab hon, or there is a wicking issue. I've used a lot of clearo tank devices and always always always come back to a carto tank. Taste wise for me, there is just no comparison. I know the clearos are a whole lot easier to set up, but I find that the coils suffer in many instances. And, often they need a much longer break in period than a carto does.

Do you have alternate set ups you might try in lieu of the clearo?

I would agree with you on that analysis. NLV liquids do seem to be a tad thicker than most, especially Gold and BH, IMO. I've personally never been able to vape Gold in a clearo or even a VN due to wicking issues. However, I do vape LH in a VN all the time with no issues. But I haven't tried it in any other clearo.
As far as carto tanks go, I don't like LH in them as well as I do in a VN. It's almost too bold in a CT for my taste. Still no floral or any other bad taste, either way. But the VN just mellows it to a level of perfection that I love.

When I first joined the PowWow thread oh so many moons ago, one thing that was incredibly helpful to me was the NLV family giving information just like this, my dear DKS. The recommendations for using certain NLV vliquids in a carto, a carto tank, or in a clearo was fantastic.

I saved that info and would love to share it with newbs to NLV. :)

So here ya go... :vapor:

To tank or not to tank,,, that is our question. It's certainly a matter of preference but many of us have found that:
There are four NLV flavors that you might not want to tank. Caramel Reef, SunDance, Renegade, and Bounty Hunter.

Tank:
Fruit3 will samba in a tank.
Twilite shines brightly.
Line Rider, tanked, seems to bring out more nuttiness.
Capparillo does not seem to change any.
Waffles in a tank or clearo.

Carto:
Litehouse is good in a carto or clearo. (Fare thee well, Litehouse)
Bounty Hunter in cartos, delish.

Clearo:
Renegade in a clearo is better than in a carto.
Twilite is ok in a carto and good in a clearo.
Waffles in a clearo or tank.
Litehouse is good in a (Vivi Nova) clearo.

Drip:
Sundance is better dripped on an atty than in a carto. (Fare thee well, Sundance.)

My Beloved GOLD has a tendency to change flavors around in a tank, but does not mute.
It brings pure awesomeness to any container.

With the addition of new flavors to NLV's line up, I'd love to hear from all of you as to your opinions on these flavors:

Caramel Reef

Cold Creek

Harbor Nite

Tappulles (my preference is a carto tank)

Tropikeyta

Vanilla Strait

Great post Kat!!

I agree with you 100% about Gold in a tank changing somewhat. As anyone who's been around for a bit knows, I prefer Gold in an EMDCC. Actually, it has been the ONLY way I vape it for a good while. However, now that I have my Hybrid working (thanks to Kemo), I have been rocking the Gold hard in it. Actually, it's the only flavor I've even tried in it because it's just SO GOOD!

I'm still trying to decided my preference on Harbor. I felt one way, then another. Right now I'm sitting here with some in a carto tank and some in a VN. I'm trying to decided, but I'm thinking that it's great either way. There's a difference, but both methods are equally good in their own way.

100% agree with you on Tappules being best in a CT, too.

My wife and I both agree that Cold Creek is pretty much the same no matter the device. It wicks very well in anything and the menthol taste is so dominate that it really doesn't matter.

Sundance dripped was just amazing! Too bad I was just not born to be a dripper. Such a complicated juice that one was!

Hi folks,

Well I went to restock my bounty hunter (A.D.V) at litecigusa and they were out, I sent an email inquiring as to when they would receive more and my response left me depressed:

"I am sorry, I do not believe we will be restocking them. "

So, not believing my eyes, I decided to call litecigusa.net. I spoke to a girl named wendy and asked her if it was true, she checked with others in the office and confirmed, yes it was true, they would not be restocking my All Day Vape anymore.

Ugh!

So over to E-cigarette-forum I went.

Searched....searched and then found this thread.

Thank the bountyhunter makers! Got my jug of 130ml 3 days later and all is well.

Thanks to Katdarling for letting the Kat out of the bag!

Right on brother. My Gold genny is always working overtime.

Tappules is excellent in my nova. The cinnamon comes out more when dripping it. But I get more apple and more vanilla in the nova which I really dig.

Harbor is outstanding in a genny but honestly it's awesome in my giant clearo/nova-style vapage XL crystal.

Cold creek as reported is great in anything.

I really like(d) Sundance dripped. Fare thee well Tony 'Dancer. :D I could never figure out what was in it, but now that its well-aged, it's giving me this amazing cream cheese frosting laced carrot cake vibe.

BH in the genny is amazing. Something about it just pops. I liked it in novas too but you gotta keep your head fresh.

I use line rider in my a7 rda. It tastes great with a cotton wick. But I think ol Liney is good in anything. One of my top v-liquids.

Renegade seems to taste the same in everything. My preferred method lately has been the carto tank. It's just as good or dare I say better than in my genny.

Kat thanks for the newsletter reminder. I might have accidentally slipped thru the cracks on that.

Drum that's a great story. My favorite part is the ending! :vapor:
