I dont really have the ched to buy an authenic kayfun but wondering what your opinion would be on these clones. (please check the product link & let me know)

1) $26.58 Kayfun Lite Plus V2 Style Rebuildable Atomizer (4.5ml) - 1:1 clone / stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

2) $13.29 Kayfun Lite Styled Rebuildable Atomizer (4.5mL) - clear tank section at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

3) $17.14 Russian 91% Styled Rebuildable Atomizer (4.5mL) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I of course would like to sub ohm vape with a Sigelei 150w... looking for good taste, decent clouds, but also something easy to rebuild and these seemed pretty self explanatory with the decking you just rewrap and put some cotton in between the loop in the coil.(kanthal wire)

Im thinking this would be easier then rebuilding a premade sub ohm coil, like for an aspire atlantis/kanger sub tank.... but please enlighten me on what I should be using on a Sigelei... I wanna stay away from drippers for the most part, looking for inexpensive sub ohm tank setup.

Look forward to reading your replies/opinions on the matter, thanks :)

I think you are going to want more than a Kayfun for a 150watts device. Kayfun works best below 30 watts. That said I would get the cheapest one. From what I have seen a Kayfun clone is a Kafun clone. Meaning one "style/brand" of clone is not really better than another or even worse than the authentic.. BUT, because they are knockoffs and cheap quality control can get scetchy.. Although I have yet to get a truly BAD clone from Fastech. I find that if the clone is crappy, the authentic very likely has the same issues.

The kanger Subtanks have an RBA Deck that will allow you to start by building single or dual coils and you can access/adjust/rebuild on the deck without having to drain the whole tank. To be honest I would probably go with a Subtank or mini just for ease of learning, The mini looks a little easier to build but just my :2c:

1 I have the black version and just ordered that same SS one. Works very well.
2 I don't have any experience with.
3 very slight leak from the film screw but works fine when it's not. Wouldn't recomend it.

1 is the only one I would recommend buying. I vape around 1.4 ohm 28awg coil at 14-15 watts on regulated mods and 17-18 watts on my DNA40 at 430 degrees. I don't have any experience with sub ohming an RTA or going above 20 watts so maybe not the best tank for you.

All that being said the Kayfun might not be the best RTA for you if you want to push higher wattage. Others may have more insight.

If you're wanting to push the watts, you don't want a kayfun. If you want long battery life with that mod vaping under 20W, get the kayfun. A Lemo might be a better choice as you can more easily do dual coils or a parallel coil.

But, you might be happier with an Orchid or Aqua. You can vape them at 50W if you want.

For 150W, I dunno...maybe an authentic Doge ($35). A clone would probably end up with melted insulators.

I have a sigelei 100w plus, and I rock my Kayfun 4 clone (previously 3.1 ES clone) on it; however, I never run it above 20 watts; I don't think I've pushed it past 18 at this point.

If you want something that you'll be able to crank it up on, you need an RTA with more airflow, or a dual coil RTA.

I absolutely love my Kayfun 4 clone; however, if you want to push power, it's not the most suitable device.

When I want to run higher wattage or just get different flavors in general, I use a dripper (specifically my marquis, though again that's usually at no more than 40 watts). Keep in mind I am talking about regular kanthal coils; no twisted, parallel, or anything like that.

Nic`d Up in Oklahoma!
Its very difficult to sub ohm with a KF due to its restricted air flow and finicky wicking issues. It can be done, but its not a good starting point for someone whose new to rebuilding. Lots of guys just want to through their KF`s at the wall. That being said, it would be ok in the 1.2 to 1.8 range, and you could get a good idea if it would work for you. I ran the wifes KFL on my Sig just to see and at 1.3 it did OK (but not enough air flow for me, that`s why my wife owns it now). If getting one I would recommend the Ehpro branded version found on fle-ebay, And I would go for the KF Lite version as it takes care of all the minor issues the others have. Its about the same price range as your highest there and I know from experience quality is not an issue with them. I would stay away from that 13 dollar cheapy, its got an even smaller air intake in it and its just got a look of aluminum to it. There several Kayfun threads here, just one of many,,,,,,,,

Not all Kayfun clones are created equal. As far as I can tell the Tobecco are good..but no extra o-rings. The Infinite clones are probably better. Having said that I would go with an authentic Eleaf Lemo. The Orchid clones are great - cheap (~$10) - but dual coil. Not necessarily a good atty to start with.

Just because you buy a 150 watt device doesn't mean you have to run it at 150 watts. The nice thing about the Sigelei 100/150 watt devices are they are extremely well made and the battery life is great because the run dual 18650 batteries.

you know I might buy a cheap kayfun clone eventually, but to go with a powerful box mod such as the sigelei... just dunno.this aqua tank looks nice, anyone try?

EHPro Aqua RBA

That's the V1. There is a new V2 which is quite popular. I have the V2 but I don't like it as much as my Orchids or Foggers. Just bought the Fogger V6 and it's really nice.

I only really use drippers on my Sig 150w. My Kayfuns and 90% of my other single coil RTA's cant be pushed above 15 or so watts (with around 1ohm builds)... my "dripper-RTAs" like the Silverplay, Orchid, Lemo or Billow can handle higher depending on the build and wicking.

I'd recommend a Kayfun Lite + (Most clones are of very good quality nowadays) to practice RTA rebuilding. It's a standard in RTA design and if you can build a perfect 30-28 gauge single coil and learn the wicking characteristic of a KFL+... you can build on anything! Your next atomizer (likely with thicker wire) will be a breeze.

In addition to satisfy your "sub-ohm" fix id recommend the Delta II RTA by Joyetech. SUPER solid little sub-ohm RTA with your choice of premade coil-heads or an optional (at extra cost i believe) RBA deck. Awesome airflow, great flavor and build quality for a super nice price.

I'd skip the sub tank, bought one for my sig 150, it was on a total of 5 min. I don't even run a tank on mine anymore. Keep a mutation x v3 on it with glass cap, 28ga nichrome/rayon build at 45w. IMO, you're really missing out on the usefulness of the sig by not using rda's on it. I've even got a .08 ohm dark horse clone the little guy has lit up. Batt % dropped 1% for every puff, but he did it. Lol
