fursty-congrats on the decision to vape! You'll love it. Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. has great prices on 510 starter kits and ego kits as well. The ego is a 510 on steriods. Since you've already tried an e-cig I suggest the ego. They also have some sampler packs of juice so you can get an idea of what you like. Get at least 24mg nic to start then judge from there what YOU need. Tasty Vapor has great juice but no samples. BUT it's so good you won't care ;) Good luck and ask questions, that's how we all learned and continue to learn.

You might also like 555 in VG. It's a good tobacco taste, like Marlboro and produces clouds of vapor. You might see it as 555 (3&5) on the sites.

I like the Marlboro liquids, too. Another favorite of mine is RY4, sometimes seen as RY-04, RYU4, etc.

Be aware that some liquids are available in PG and VG bases as well as mixes of the two. You can always buy 3ml and 5ml bottles to try before you spring for a 20ml or 30ml bottle of something you find that you don't like! Some sites will offer sampler kits of 10 small bottles or so and they are a good deal if you are taste testing.

The recommendations I would make depend on what aspect of vaping is most important to you. Right now the the 510 model is the most popular starter. It's the most versatile being that they make bigger, longer lasting batteries ( eGo, Riva, etc.) that work with the 510 atomizer and now they have cartomizers for the 510.
People claim that it provides more vapor and throat hit but I'm not really convinced of that. So much of those aspects depend on the juice.
The kr808D-1 is a two piece, battery / cartomizer unit that's pretty popular. It has better stock batteries than the 510 or 901 stock batteries. The vapor production qualities seems a little different than the 510 cartomizer. Can't tell myself if it's better or worse, just different.
Last but certainly not least is my personal favorite the good ol' DSE 901. I like it because the 901 atty brings out the flavor in the juice like no other. You can't get big proprietary batteries for it and there is no 901 cartomizer so these things limit the 901 quite a bit but they're great little attys for use with a mod (which is all I use).
as for juice, I'm gonna have to let someone else answer that because I started mixing my own juice right off the bat and have'nt tried much of the commercial stuff. I hear a lot of raving about Tasty Vapor though.

I always recommend spending the time to read all 6 parts of http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/36180-wonderful-world-vaping-illustrated-guide-e-cigs-part-1-6-a.html.

It is entertaining and very informative. After reading it, you'll be able to narrow down your choice even more.

I went with the 510 after reading that great series and reading polls here. I am happy with it, but I could tell it would have the best chance of working for me if any thing could from that reading.

Good luck with your journey!

I am a new vaper myself and I went with the Joye 510 from cignot.com. I have to say that I am very pleased. I was a pack a day marlboro red smoker for 16 years and this little 510 can make me choke. I just got in some of the 510 (expert) atomizers from litecigusa.net, and I have to tell you that these things rip. I started dripping as soon as I got my 510 because I didn't want to mess with carts and these new atomizers have a higher bridge and work nicely for dripping. I do have some 510 cartomizers (blank and pre-filled) on order from liquidexpress.com as well as some juice and I am anxious to try them out. I do myself maybe getting into some mods in the future but I do have to say that the 510 is treating me nicely and I think it is a wise choice.
