Hello all, been awhile since I've posted to the forums. I think I need some advice/tips though.
If this has already been asked, I apologize ahead of time, and if so, if somebody could direct me to the solution I'd much appreciate it.
First, let me start by saying, I've been doing the atty-cleaning, usually in a glass of water, have also done it with rubbing alcohol, to get rid of the primer taste; so I know it's not primer taste, as I'd recognize that anywhere, lol. I've also blown out the atty *several* times to make sure there's nothing funky in it that I'm unaware of.
I have a 501 model, and I originally started using it with a coffee flavor, and not so long ago switched to a Marlboro flavor. Now, what I'm noticing is, the 501 has awesome throat-hit, but maybe too much. I'm not sure if it's just heating too much, or just pulling too much out, but here's what happens. I may not have noticed it before cleaning the primer taste, since the primer taste is so overpowering; but I can typically take about 2 drags before I need to drink water or some other liquid because the atomizer is just heating up so much; the outside of the E-Cig even gets rather hot. I've been dripping e-liquid into the atomizer everytime I refill the cart to keep it from getting too dry. I'd like to say that perhaps I could wait about 2 minutes between each drag, but sometimes I just want to lounge and be able to take a few drags back to back. The atomizer gets so warm, that the vapor that comes out by the third drag actually mildly burns my throat and causes me to cough, and leaves me needing something to drink. I've dared push myself to a fourth and/or fifth drag thinking perhaps I just need to strengthen my throat to the throat-hit, but by that point the E-Cig is so hot it's barely holdable, and the vapor coming out makes my throat almost raw. The atomizer isn't sticking on or anything, after each drag it stops lighting up, and if I actually wait it eventually cools down. When using the coffee flavor, I was thinking perhaps it was the e-juice/fluid, but after switching to a Marlboro flavor from a completely different vendor, I still get the burning throat feeling. I can also confirm it's not the atomizer sticking on, as I have both an auto and manual battery. I've even attempted to test it while using the manual, by taking rather short inhales/puff, to still have it end up getting overly hot. :/
I guess I'm wondering if anybody's found anything (besides something like anti-freeze lol) to mix with e-liquid for atomizer cooling, or some way of keeping it from getting so hot when you use it??
Thank you in advance for any help on this matter!
