Hi all!
I've been vaping for 3 years now and have never looked back! I definitely went through a learning curve and many of you helped by answering my "odd off the wall questions" due to lack of vaping terminology! I must admit, I scratched my own blonde head more than once.

I am a creature of habit! (Not always a bad thing). I love Kanger TD's 3 with kanger batteries. I still don't know all the terminology but it is the battery that you can adjust the voltage(?) on the bottom. Problem is, the button is flush, and eventually winds up getting stuck, in spite of my to efforts keep it clean. I currently have the EVOD Twist II. If I took a pic of all my stuff:banana::banana:, you would be amazed!

I am getting bored and want something new. When I get this way, I start pulling everything out of my stash, just looking for that WOW effect. You know that feeling?:danger: (When you have something new and you hit it for the first time? You just think to yourself. "Yesssss!" If anyone has recommendations, please share. I have tried the Nova's, (didn't like) the Aspires, (ok but not a wow effect). I'm more comfortable with something smaller and not bulky. I did try one of the box type batteries don't remember what kind) but it was too bulky for my taste. I would like to try a new battery but sometimes I'm technically challenged:hubba:. I'm not looking to build anything (lol) not because I don't want to but because it's just too much stress. I'm 60 years old and set in my ways. (My arm can be twisted as long as it comes with instructions. I'm good with swapping out coils but know absolutely nothing about the sub zero (or zero sub) stuff!
Now that you know my life history, I'm ready to hear from you!
Thanks much!:D:D:D

Had I done my homework, I would have seen the first thread with tons of information provided by one the members! Awesome post! Many thanks!

that is, if you like the girly-girl stuff, well you know what I mean.

:D

Good luck.

p.s. Don't sell yourself short. Gals are the "best" rebuilders. Unless we're talkin' brain surgeon or somethin', you've got a huge up on us fella's on the dexterity score. Easier than you think, especially with the method I introduced…and written a few pages about. Heck of a lot cheaper, better flavor too! Need help. Give a holler.

Please do!

You have lots of options, but we need to know how far you'd go (besides the basic iStick/Nautilus).

I will post a pic later tonight or in the morning. (Ok, I will get my granddaughter to do the pic) just because I still have a flip phone (by choice). I KNOW, I KNOW). Time to get past that. I probably have 50 (or more) clearomizers that began with the Stardust. Each time they were upgraded, I changed. (started with not being able to change coils, to changeable coils, to dual coils and so on and so on. I don't have a stockpile of batteries because they never lasted. I'm good with my juice (however, I do have quite a few lying around that I didn't like). I always go back to the 1st juice I ever tried. I've always believed this was the reason I adjusted so well to vaping. Finding a good juice is crucial. I don't like fruity stuff. I wanted to like them but just do not. My juice is a menthol with a bite. I'm not looking to change that.
You asked how far I'm willing to go? As long as it isn't complicated and I like it. (I don't mind investing in something I will,be happy with). Ok, pic is taken unorganized) but as you can see, they are all, pretty much along the same line. I have another box with all the coils that I bought to go with these. My other box is the juice box. This is what happens when I'm bored!

I do like that! What is the difference in the 2 coils? Correct me if I'm wrong, but do the sub nano' drain the batteries and juice quicker? I'm assuming this provides a much better vape than the older models? Can I use any of my other (utensils. ..aka clearomizers with this battery? Thanks for the help!

Nice pic, not quite what I wanting to see

I do see a Protank 2. How did that do for you?

See if this might expand your expectations towards building coils; forget that this guy is a hipster freak. I own one and think it's great.

    These are cheaper at Fasttech.

The Subtank Nano takes a standard Kanger coil. That clearo cannot be rebuilt. However, it has far better wick and air delivery over the standard or improved clearomizers like the later Protanks, Aspires, etc. So what does that mean. Far better flavor density (better atomization). You'll taste aspects of juices you've never sensed before at whatever temp you prefer. That's what you do if you stay where you are buying factory consumables.

Stopped to answer your post as when I can, I recommend everyone at least learn to rebuild as we don't know where this is all going this year.

On the plus side the Nano's big brother, the Subtank Mini has an RDA that can be rebuilt. Since the coil diameters are larger than what we've seen in clearomizers 'till now (less than 2mm), once you go over that it's pretty darn easy to make a coil. My method using strain to make coils, a tech as old as jewels and money, is tried and true for making perfect coil geometry. Has benefits which also as you mention improve the taste potential of the atomizer.

So…you've got a decision to make. My bet as diligent as you are researching the options you like is that you would equally research coils that make for best vape. Eventually given what I see of your style perhaps one or two a week. Less than an hours time. And these tensioned winds can last many weeks requiring a few mins to rinse the base and rewick. Big savings in time and money chasing prebuilt. Big returns in performance and flavor.

Then that interest in diversity can be devoted to the arts so many of us have pursued here…the chase for flavor. And hopefully, that you consider DIY juice making which is the ultimate in personal satisfaction. I'd wager you'd be darned good at it.

If you think you could turn a perfect coil on a pin vise as many hobbyists do every day, make two straight leg connections, as to the atomizer in the picture above…you'd be up and running inside of 10 minutes. Problem solved. Then you have a huge assortment of atomizer alternatives to pursue. Some substantially better than the Kanger's. Some surprisingly inexpensive for the low-wattage vaper like yourself.

I suggested the Kanger because you will need a bit more power with the better wicking of these newer atomizers. It's a good place to start if you're not ready to rebuild. If you like the factory coils you can try the larger Subtank along with a Nano and give it a try, transition when you are.

I'm around most days K. Give a shout.

    Good luck.

    :)

Nothing wrong with hipster freaks! I ask, you respond. No problem! Going to check that out! Thanks!

Maybe someone could suggest an easy-to-build RTA that's cheap and easy. I, for myself (because I'm a far-sighted, old fogy), might be looking at a Kayfun Lite.

    Reading glasses required.

As my eyes are getting heavy, I'm going to come back to this post tomorrow. Strange you should say that about the DIY juice. I went as far as buying some VG AND PG. looked at some recipes on here and never went any further. With that being said, would I just need the flavoring to mix DIY or is there more to it ?

Nope it is that simple. Either flavor combos like peaches and cream or individual elements like vanilla. Add some nic if you desire or require it. Recipes are straightforward plentiful here on ECF including support. Abundant online recipe tools to do all the math like one of my fav's…

    e-Liquid Calculator.

Couldn't be any better today for home cooks.

:D Goodnight and good luck K.

Oh how well I know that WOW effect. I got it the first time I put a good build on my genny, put it on my mech and took a good hard hit. Given the hardware you are into now, however, I would not recommend you go the route I did. I'll just go back to my WOW effect now....
