Evening all-

I have come across some good vendors for my misc. parts and at reasonable prices. I am looking for stainless steel 901 batteries. I see some site list them at SS but they are actually chrome.

Does any one know of any good 901 part suppliers that have stainless components. TW is my current setup but they are pricey I have found in comparison.

Thanks

Bman.

So, you're not looking for stainless specifically, you just want stainless looking batteries? I took a batch of my batteries and took the paint off on a wire wheel. Nice and shiny. Although some were plain steel, no rust developed on them because I was handling them constantly.
Yes Jim, This is what i do and they come out perfect. Pop off the cap of the led on the tip and put your e-cig to a grinder with a coarse wire wheel brush on it. After the paint is removed, Shine your e-cig with a piece of steel wool spinning it in the same direction (with the grain) to perfection. Replace the led cap and you have a beautiful shiney e-cig. :D

Has anyone tried acetone to see if it would remove the paint?
I tried acetone to remove the paint from a 4081. It did not even phase it at all. So I scraped it off with dull blade then sanded and polished. Looks good in polished stainless.
I did the same treatment on a black 801 atty and got the same good result.

The stainless ones from Ruyan are indeed a good grade of stainless steel.
Also, as mentioned above, the glossy black ones from Ruyan can be scraped off to reveal what appears to be stainless steel underneath. I know it seems weird, but the painted ones are stainless underneath the paint. I work with metals alot- and I am fairly certain this is the case.
They are all the same price though, so why not just order the stainless.

bestecig.com has stainless steel batteries for 9.25/ea + shipping ( shipping is by weight and if you want a shipping cost there is a screen to see what it will be before ordering). If you have any questions Beci at bestecig is very helpful and will answer emails. I have ordered many things from here and have had a great experience every time. Usually get product in 5-7 business days.
